I'm not, but I'm just curious how many people on here are planning on buying this fight.

I'll never put a penny into DLH's pocket. But I'll glady watch him spill his blood for me for free. F*ck the con man!

I'll either buy it and watch with friends and relatives or go to a bar and watch it for a $20 dollar cover.

New York sucks for finding a place to watch boxing. I must have tried 50 places looking for a bar with Showtime that was showing Abraham/Miranda II this past June.

A few years back, they made a rule where bars had to pay alot more money in order to show anything on HBO or Showtime. It depends on what the maximum capacity is at the bar, so some TINY places will only have to pay like $3,000 to air a fight, while others would have to pay $10,000+. So bars would charge a cover. Even still, bars wouldn't do it because people were so disgusted with paying (sometimes 50 bucks), that nobody would show up.

Now things have changed, and people will pay 10-20 bucks to watch a fight.

I have one bar that I go to regularly, that steals their cable from a guy upstairs, and they show all the fights. Only problem is that it's about the size of my bedroom, and I kinda wanna do the big fight either at a happening spot or at home. Plus, that bar is full of raging alcoholic locals until about 5AM when the good looking raging alcoholics come in for after hours (Me and about 40 other albanians).

Watching a fight at a bar is awesome though. I do it as often as I can. I finally realize why people in New York loved it so much.

    That's CONFUSING...

So the Bars CAN'T have a BASIC Cable T.V. or Satellite Package, then ORDER the PPV's for $49.95 or Whatever???...That's what Dallas Area Sports Bars Do & they LITERALLY Make their Money Back N about 30 Seconds w/Alcohol & Food Sales...

online streams are usually your best bet. If you can get an FTA hook up, even better.

Bars have to pay a lot more to show PPV's here in Ca. A buddy of mine who owns a bar ordered a UFC PPV at the regular household rate and someone actually tipped off the PPV provider and they came after him. They ende up settling out of court for.......get this....10 Fucking grand. no joke.

I'll probably watch the fight at a friends house who always orders the PPV fights. Get 10 people together, some beer, BBQ throw in 5 bucks for the fight and it's on. I sure as hell wouldn't pay 50 bucks though.

Bars get basic cable(Which includes ESPN, VS, TNT, Spike, etc...) at a regular rate. It's premium cable(HBO, Showtime, Cinimax, etc...) that they have to pay extra for depending on the maximum capacity of the bar.

of course im buying it. Im a sucker when it comes to boxing PPVs. All of you that dont buy will be here complaining asking for a way to watch it for free. If you want to see something that bad, its worth buying.

Thanks, but I was just asking. I'm not looking for another way of watching it.

I've got a couple friends who're having people over to their houses, but I've already told them I'm not interested.

My ppv addiction died a long time ago.

I'm not surprised that sports bars have to pay extra, that is exactly the way it works over this side of the pond. Networks like Sky Sports make a fortune outta bar and clubs paying extra fees for football/boxing/Golf etc..

Lucky for me ALL PPV events are free !!
