90,000,000 prayed for this day, and we were given it. Thank God for giving us Manny Pacquiao, the greatest fighter of our generation.
Hiding because I decided not to hang out on a message board for a few months? :dunno: Anyway can anyone disagree that Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter of our generation? I seem to remember Floyd Mayweather only managing a split decision win over DLH, while Pacquaio won every round and then made DLH quit. ray:
I said manny was number one before, no one listened. We have this moment together whether you like it or not.::
No Mayweather is/was the greatest fighter of our generation.....00-07...I guess Manny Pacquiao Generation started after MAB..so this might be his generation..if he can beat Marquez convincingly for once.....
And Floyd would completely TOY with Manny..... So goes your theory. But it IS a monumental upset nonetheless.
I put up with people saying "Manny is a one trick pony", "Manny only beats up old Mexicans", I seem to remember arguing against those points all by myself on this board at least. :dunno:
I don't think so.....Floyd banks on sitting back and letting the guy tire out as he squeeks by with a decision, this won't be the case.
alabatty man makes his triumphant return. pacquaio being a fuckin beast of a fighter and an incredible specimen does not make you any less queer, though.
Floyd is a great fighter, and I'm not taking anything away from him, but if he does come out of retirement (which I think he will), Pacquiao would beat him. It probably wouldn't be by stoppage because Floyd would stink out the joint before he let Pacquiao accumulate too much damage on him. He'd coast to a decision loss.
If coasting is running to the four pillars of the ring, then we mostly agree. Floyd is a sham of a superstar.
Oscar only became old because Manny made him old. I'm just glad I was brave enough to put a $1,500 bet on Pacquiao by stoppage.
please, i am glad that manny won and it is a great accomplishment for him, but DLH has been past his prime for some years now.
The excuses come in. So the fact that Dela Hoya has won titles at 147-160, and Manny hasn't even fought at 140 doesn't mean anything? He is a modern day Henry Armstrong. Why don't you just accept it?
where did i say this? if you are arguing THE FACT that ODLH is past his prime, then you need to get slapped in the face.
Oscar is past his prime, but the fact that he is much bigger naturally than Pacquiao cancels that out. Dela Hoya went tooth and nail with Floyd Mayweather just LAST year who everyone was calling P4P #1. Manny just brutalized that guy. That's all I'm saying. :dunno:
