Yeah I live in Orange County, California, one of the richest counties in the United States, but I still know where my roots are. What's wrong with that?

When did I ever argue against that? I'm just arguing that Pacquiao would never got tossed aside like Joe Louis who you brought up. I even said that Pacquiao would eventually leave the limelight, but he would NEVER be tossed into a Casino like Joe Louis. We don't do it like that in the P.I.

    I don't know, I know quite a few Filipino's and I tend to think probably Alabaman's right.

It's hard for me to see Pacquiao ending up like Luisito Espinosa, or anything like that.

Espinosa never garnered idol status unfortunately in the P.I. He never got the big profile fights against Barrera, or Hamed that would've catapulted him up there. That's unfortunate but not everyone will gain money, and fame through boxing, even if they are good. He still trains fighters though, and lives a humble life in Daly City.

Manny sure is top 15 all time. The dude started out at flyweight and just stopped De la Hoya at 147lbs.

Anyone who puts 15 old timers ahead of the mexicutioner should be locked away for criminal behaviour.

I agree. I actually think Pacman is slightly underrated by most BECAUSE he is a contemporary fighter.

Fighters often get more appreciated in hindsight, certainly in an all time sense. When they retire they become part of boxing history. When they are active, they are just a fighter that fights, that you sort of take for granted.

Pacman is an absolutely incredible fighter, a freak of nature.

De La Hoya is past it, but he was also past it when Floyd won an unimpressive decision over him just over a year ago.

What pacman did to him yesterday, being a natural featherweight, and jumping STRAIGHT up from 135 - was nothing short of amazing. He treated him like a fucking bum.

And yes, a guy who was a FLYWEIGHT for the first few years of his career
