Pacquiao vs Margarito

Ok, this sounds like a mismatch and a joke...but so everybody thought about DLH-Pacman and we were wrong! If they pay him right Manny will do it. Margarito will do it too. So, how will last night's Pacquiao will fare against the Margarito that beat Cotto to a pulp?

 

No. It would look like last night only with Manny being smaller than Margarito and on the receiving end.

I think we are overrating Margarito a bit. Remember that this is the same guy that was outboxed by Paul Williams. I think Manny will punish his body all night and will try to keep the fight inside. We don't know how Margarito will respond to constant body shots from the strong philipino.

The attack the body strategy might work vs. CINTRON...but not Margarito.

 

agreed. people continue to underrate pacquiao. for example, his style is a nightmare for cotto and i an't imagine his losing to him (i.e. Cotto would sooner rematch Tony than take on Pacquiao).

Pacquiao might be competitive, but I'm not sure it goes beyond that. This match seems kind of silly though. Margarito hasn't fought below lightweight his entire career, he's way too big and Pacquiao has guys his own size he should deal with.

But there's no reason for Arum to make that fight, Margarito not a better money option than Hatton and Margarito-Cotto II is a mega-fight in it's own right.

 

Freddie Roach is (1) too smart and (2) cares for Manny too much to put him in the ring with Margarito.

The 2008 versions of DeLaHoya and Margarito are two completely different animals.

Manny might be able to take Cotto after the Marg rematch this summer. Miguel will be finished after the rematch.

But as of right now, Cotto hammers him.

 

It has begun indeed. The Pac mania will now become 5x worse than the infamous Tito mania of 2000-2001. And it'll only get bigger after Manny TKO's "the get hitman" Hatton.

Pacquiao's to small for 147,he just took an opportunity against a fighter that was too old and fighting in a weight he had no business being in and Manny is aware of this and said he will campaign at 140 or 135 in his next fight.
