I noticed the same thing with the jab.
It was effective when he used it.
It was also effective when he used it against PBF.

In both fights, he abandoned it, though.
With Pac, I think he was hurting to the body a lot, & very focused on protecting his left side. Also maybe he couldn't throw the jab because he was so hurt to the body?

Or maybe he just kept focusing on landing the big one without setting it up.

he might as well have had lead in his boots.....despite having the reach advantage, Pacman dominated from range cos he could get in and out quicker than DLH could move his feet an inch forward

DLH himself was non-existant. If you didn't see Oscar head getting snapped back you wouldn't have know he was in the ring.

all this talk about delahoyas jab is worthless. delahoyas jab has never been effective against southpaws. anyone thinking delahoya was going to be effective keeping pacquaio at bay with jabs was foolish. pacquaio fought an excellent fight and never allowed delahoya to time him with a hard hook as i expected he would be able to do and knock pacquaio out with.

NO jab..no right hand..NO LEGS.....nothing...at times i though he was trying to see if Pacquiao would get tired from throwing punches....

Yep ... I really think he was just in shock that he couldn't manhandle Pacman and before he knew it ... he was so beat up it was over.

You should tell that to Manny Steward who repeatedly was calling for Oscar to use the jab which was effective when ever he used it.

Then again I suppose you know more than Steward.

Kinda strange for a guy who trained for 6-8 weeks.
