In a radio interview a little bit after that, Marquez kept saying he felt he won, and needed a rematch, and Manny seemed kind of sick of it so he replied, "Stop crying Marquez."

Marquez was speechless for half a minute before he responded.

Marquez is a good fighter but he smells those $2,000,000 paydays, and he literally has a boner dreaming of fighting Pacquiao.

Well they were both great fights and it really should be 1-1 at worst. Sure Marquez smells the big money, but he deserves it. He's one of the few people that people Pacquiao, despite what those stupid blind judges say.

1-1 at worst? Try 2-0 if not for a scoring error. Marquez is a good fighter, but his efforts are being totally overrated, especially in the rematch where some morons are claiming he won 10 rounds.

For fucks sake, he got saved by the bell in round 3. :notallthere:

considering you are a flip your opinion is worthless. Marquez was clearly the winner. Trying watching it again with your eyes open.

The best part about it was Kenny having to grab Juan around the waist and lead him back to his own corner. I still crack up today thinking about it.

This is like the joke about the christian that starts beating up on this jewish guy.

The jewish guys asks "Why are you beating me up"
the christian guy says "Because the jews killed Jesus"
the jewish guy says "That was 2 thousand years ago'
The christian guy says "Yeah, but I just found out today!"

Pacquiao didn't even think he beat Marquez in the rematch. His reaction when the winner was announces was surprised and relieved.

Not to mention in the post fight conference he admitted that during the fight he has nothing left on one particular round and he told Marquez "come knock me out if you can" while Marquez pounded on him.

Even if you had Manny winning there is nothing he can brag about besides the knockdown. Hell some say that clinched it for Manny meaning that's how close the fight was.

I'ts no accident that from all 3 fights Pacquiao had this year this rematch back in March was the toughest. The more he went up in weight the easier the fights got. Simply because at this stage Marquez was the best oponent he faced this year.

Diaz was a bum and Oscar is fucking shot. The only guy to look worst than Oscar this year was Chris Byrd at lightheavyweight.

I know the third fight won't happen because Manny has bigger options but it doesn't change what happened twice against JMM.

Marquez needed to win at least one fight for there to be a rubber match. He didn't win, he doesn't get his enormous third payday. He should chase Campbell, or Valero.

Winning and not getting the win, IMO, are two different things. Even Pacquiao knows he lost the rematch.

But I do think that Marquez needs one more big win to make it more appealing. He beat Casamayor, that was big. But one more big win, give Manny another stiff, and then let's make it happen. Despite who you think won, you have to admit that both matches were classics.

If JMM had convincingly beaten Pacquiao, he would have the W on his resume to prove it. Unfortunately for him, he's still fighting on free Showtime for 120K while Pacquio is headlining PPVs for $millions.
By the way, Marquez lost to a shot Barrera. Look at Marquez's face and look at Barrera's and then judge who won that fight. Marquez got schooled.

Styles make fights. Barrera would always give Marquez problems. However, Marquez has the skills and the heart to counter Manny's aggressive style, Barrera doesn't.

    Casamayor was 400 years old.

It's funny that LATINQUEER calls David Diaz a bum, because Diaz knocked out Santa Cruz, who kicked Casamayor's ass and happens to be Marquez's best win since Barrera.

Exactly, LATINQUEER said "Oscar KO 8, this fight will be hilarious."

Does he still think it's hilarious?

This guy has the worst prediction streak in the entire forum.

Selective memory you have, but I don't expect more from you. Everyone said Casamayor was shot. I did too. Then he comes back and KNOCKSOUT the young Michael Katsidis in an amazing war. I'm not saying Katsidis is an amazing fighter. But he was certainly feared by many fighters and Casamayors victory over Katsidis sent him right back to the top. In his next fight Marquez gave him the worst beating of his life.

Umm, Santa Cruz CLEARLY beat Casamayor in their fight before Katsidis. Katsidis is a decent win, but the fact that you think Casamayor had "an amazing war" with him should show you how badly he's declined.

Erik Morales had a great 1st fight with a one-dimensional fighter named Manny Pacquiao. Styles make fights.

Yes, Santra Cruz was robbed against Casamayor. But let's not forget that Casamayor was inactive for OVER A YEAR!!! Did you honestly expect better? In his next fight Casamayor sharpened his game up and after a shaky start against a powerful hitter, he came back and OWNED Katsidis.

In his next fight he was doing well against Marquez, but it was Marquez who made the better adjustments and did what NO OTHER FIGHTER HAS EVER DONE...KNOCKED HIM OUT!!!
