PunkAss, Mask & SkyScrape???... There's Something WEIRD Going on w/the TEETH of Mask...& his LAUGH is Ridiculous...Skyscrape Seems to B a Tall, AWKWARD, Completely UNathletic Dude & Punkass is Tooooooooo SMALL to have Been an EFFECTIVE Fighter... F.Y.I., Mrs. REED Bought REED his 1st Tapout T-Shirt on Father's Day.... REED:bears:
Apparently they're the 1's that Came Up w/the Idea of the TapOut T-Shirts...Their Brainchild has Spawned the Series, the Vehicle & the Apparel...This was Noted on a UFC Editorial Piece, a Few Months Ago...They Made like 6 MILLION Dollars Last Year from it.... Not Sure HOW they're Connected w/UFC/WEC, but they Seem to Know EVERYBODY Affiliated w/It... REED:dunno:
Mask is Charles Lewis. Charles Lewis has a record of 2-3. Punkass is Dan Caldwell, I can't find his record but I'm pretty sure he used to fight too. The only one who didn't is Skyscrape, but I think he trains. Mask and Punkass are the ones who started the company. Skyscrape came in as a third partner later.
Yes they are. From a marketing stand point, you cannot deny the effectiveness of their antics though. EVERYONE knows who these guys are.
They sponsor a ton of fighters. Pick a gym across the country and they've sponsored a fighter from that gym. Great marketing ploy--Be obnoxious; get a TV show; sponsor fighters. I take it none of you watch their show on Versus. It's pretty entertaining simply because it gives a glimpse inside some of the more popular gyms around the country as well as some young fighters.
REED's Watched it a Handful of Times...Decent Show, but Not 1 REED Go's Out of his Way to Watch...Props to the Guys on their Success though...Like REED Said, he Got a TapOut T-Shirt for Father's Day... REED:hammert:
What does he sell? He sells you the belief that if you convert to Islam and kill Americans, you will have 72 virgins waiting for you in heaven AND you will be martyred. What a deal!!!! :bears: Wouldn't you like to have 72 lovely virgin girls Z? Beats some whacked ass TapOut gear any day of the week!
The tapout crew is a group of failed fighters who knew they wouldnt make it as fighters and turned there efforts torward making clothes for fighters. The rest is history.
their gimmick is just so obvious that you'd think it might be okay, but it isn't. I've only watched one full show and that was the one with Jake Rosholt and Johnny Hendricks, guys I know from watching ncaa wrestling. In that episode, they showed entire fights. . If they always show complete fights, it might be worth watching for masochists.
