Too bad, I'd way rather see Wlad vs. Haye.

yeah, as well as being a more winable fight....it is the more exciting prospect....you really get the sense that one punch could end it either way......sadly for David, i think it would take a few more for Vitali to go down

what does this say about the klitschkos though?.....for so long, Haye-Wlad was the touted fight....have they looked at Haye objectively and come to the conclusion that Vitali would have the least chance of losing?

I'm not so sure that Wlad is easier for Haye. Vitaly seems to have a lot of trouble with elusive target as shown in his showing vs Byrd and Haye got good reflex and defene. Sure Vitaly is far less susceptible to the one punch ko loss, but Wlad got a far better chance to land his big bombs on Haye early, wich I highly doubt Haye will be able to withstand. But if Haye hopes to be victorious, he'll have to show more substance and toughness than he did in his showing vs Thompson

Haye has a very slim chance of beating Vitaly. Not only does Vitaly have a granite chin, he is also very hard to hit. Wlad is both easier to hit and his chin is weaker. Vitaly will probably KO Haye in 3 or 4.

Vitaly never stopped a top opponent early ( well to be honest, he only fought 3 top guys and lost to 2, I'm feeling very generous to include the whale version of Johnson as one ) except for Johnson who came in fat as a whale and who couldn't avoid a huge beach ball thrown a 100 feet away to save his life. Haye is very elusive early on and packs a huge punch wich makes his opponent reluctant to come at him. Vitaly, who is not a big puncher, will have to wear him down ( or at least makes him tired as he did vs Thompson) before stopping him.

The fight will be similar to Sanders vs Vitaly. Sanders would have blasted Haye out. Sanders has a better chin though. I expect the fight to end earlier.

As Others have Said, Haye has a MUCH Better Chance of Beating Wlad than Vitali...Vitali's a PHYSICAL Fighter w/a GREAT Chin...A HORRIBLE Stylistic Matchup for Haye...

I hope Haye wins, but he will probably get his ass kicked. Haye's punch resistance isn't that great, but Vitali tends to wear guys down and throw his share of arm shots, just to land. I wonder if Haye will take a sustained beating rather than getting laid out quickly.

It's amazing what four years and Samuel Peter can do for a fighters' reputation.

Vitali doesn't take a good bodyshot according to Chris Byrd and nobody to this day has even considered such a strategy of attacking Vitali's body. Kill the body and the head will fall. :kidcool: Whether Haye can get close enough to implement this is another story. But if he can land and open up old wounds on Vitali, things could get interesting.

How will that B Different from ANY of his Other Fights???:dunno:...Obviously, Haye will have a HUGE Speed Advantage, but he ENGAGES Faaaaaaaaaar to Much to Think that he WON'T Get Hit...

    FREQUENTLY...

But Can Haye TAKE as Much as Lennox Did, to INFLICT that Type of Punishment on Vitali???...

Vitali's got some grey hairs I've noticed. Sooner or later, them hands will lower and the chin will soften...

Indeed, people forget how ordinary Vitlay looked vs Byrd and that was many many years ago when he was far closer to his physical prime.

Truth be told Reed, Lennox fought like the dumbest ass I've ever seen for somebody with his skills and experience. He was throwing whacked ass bombs all over the place with no defense, hoping to land hail marys and trying to take Vitali out with 1 big shot cause he had such little respect for him. Had Lennox known Vitali would've been that tough, Lennox would've come in with a plan to punch and box, not throwing huge right hands at every turn with eyes closed. Really looked very uncharacterstic of Lewis that night.
Like he wanted to outdo Corrie Sanders after Sanders KO'd Wlad. Can't blame Lewis though. Even on these boards, we all thought Vitali was a complete f*ckin' joke who'd get handled easily before their June 23, 2003 fight.
The Byrd quit job did leave a sour taste in many mouths.

How many other fights has he had in the last four years?

I don't think it'll be that good of a fight.

Wlad-Haye could've had entertainment value, even if most of it came at Haye's expense.

Or maybe Vitaly size and unorthodoxy forced him out of his game plan

Lennox WASN'T In Shape for the Klit Fight, which is why he was Throwing as Many Bombs as he Did....

Haye has balls of iron and probably no management to go looking for trouble like this.

I guess that is the best he will get and he has to deal with it. He ain't gettin near china chin Vlad that seems to be a fact.

Vitalie is a lot stronger overall imo and yeah he is a nightmare for Haye frankly. But ya knbow what? a star is born sometimes who knows? maybe Haye will do something fantastic. Lord knows if he can do it against senior he is the real deal.

But yeah I don't think so realistically... but I also think the IRONY Here is fucking horrible!!!!!

In a weak ass division with no punchers the puncher has to go after the kingpin to get to anyone else.... Shit of all the people to fight Haye could feast for a while and be a good challenge to Vlad but no Vitalie is too big and to skilled imo.

U're Making the ASSumption that SINCE he's Been Gone for 4 Years, Vitali's Somehow DIMINISHED...But it's NOT Like Vitali's Style is Predicated on TIMING or Staying SHARP...He was AWKWARD & Almost PAINFUL to Watch 4 Years Ago & he's STILL That...& He's STILL Got SIZE on his Side as Well as a TREMENDOUS Chin...

& the Layoff Probably HELPED his Tender Skin...

Haye's Going to ENGAGE Vitali @ Some Point...It's NOT like this is Gonna B the Byrd Fight All Over Again....

    It's not predicated on timing?

I think this fight will have a lot of posing. Low left hands, mouths open. Vitail will get tired, Haye may get respectful.
