Exactly right I think. People who have seen Pacman in real life put him at 5'5 rather than 5'6, which is normal, they usually add an inch to boxers in the short category.

And Williams, just NO WAY he is 6'1. Marge apparently is a legit 5'11, and Williams was much more than 2 inches taller.

Even Lampley said "This is the biggest 2 inch height difference I've ever seen".

Question is - why do they list Paul as being shorter than he really is? Does he want to downplay his height, so as to stop it being seen as a big advantage, or does he hunch a bit when measured?

i think there's a lot of interesting fights for pacquiao at 140 and 147. Williams isn't one of them. Does Wiliams even plan to return to 147?

I'm hoping pacquiao fights Hatton, and like he did with ODH, beats him even easier than PBF. PBF will slowly be exposed as Pacquiao continues to dole out beaatings. He'll have no choice but to fight him and he'll lose to him and all will be right with the world.

It's unbelievable to think that Paul Williams, a fighter who disregards his best physical advantage during fights, and might be expected to eat 60%+ of Pacquiao's shots wouldn't go the distance. That's ridiculous.

Come on dude, you're going overboard here and you totally disregard Paul's other attributes, i.e. his workrate, his decent power and his very good chin. Even if he doesn't fully use his height advantage, his arms are still almost as long as Manny's tall. I really don't see Manny beating Paul, and I really don't see Manny looking for this fight either.

 

I'm with Bama. Paul is TALL, but doesn't fight tall, and has no defense.

Manny would just be zipping around the ring whacking tall paul whenever he pleases.

It would be one sided, Manny would win an easy decision.

 

A 7 inch height advantage is only useful when it's actually used. Paul Williams is a tall guy who doesn't fight tall, that's just a simple fact.
