Do U HONESTLY Think Manny's Gonna Fight a "Stick & Move" Fight for 12 Rounds, Mex???...Manny CANNOT Resist ENGAGING & Firing w/Both Hands...Besides that, w/Williams' 82 Inch Reach, Manny will THINK he's Out of Range when he ISN'T...

& HOW does Manny Deal w/a Southpaw???...

REED Started this Thread as a JOKE, Picturing the 2 in a Ring Together...But REED DIDN'T Seriously Think ANYBODY would Give Pac a Chance of WINNING...

this is what overrates Pacquiao like hell.

The guy is an awesome fighter but god Damn some people go overboard.

Maybe Pacquiao would have stopped Leonard, Hearns, and Hagler too

Pacquiao beat a weight drained/shot Oscar

there is a reason he is going down to 140 to fight another past his prime name fighter in Hatton. The same Hatton that needed help from the ref two fights ago to beat Lazcano.:bears:

C'mon REED...you don't buy into a win over a end of the line DLH now makes Manny one of the best ever at 140 or 147?

I'm with you...I thought this was nothing more than a joke thread, but folks are taking the Manny love a little too far.

I don't think Manny needed help beating Lazcano...but he needed a few extra seconds...to survive not getting drop by Lazcano...

If it did happen and Manny beat him, that'd be something.

    but it won't happen.

when Roach was asked about fighting other welterweights he said "we are brave we are not stupid"

fighting a pas his prime Oscar was a big reason they took this fight. It wasn't just for moving up in weight. that and the money of course.

Hush up Latin. Your intelligent ass picked Oscar by massacre over Pacquiao so don't go talking sh*t now as if you and everybody knew Pac would win. You were laughing your ass off leading up to it, talking about how big a joke it all was and Pacquiao would have no chance in hell. Now look at you.

I enjoyed the fight simply because Oscar got his ass kicked. and I wasn't the only one picking him.

don't ignore my point about what Roach said. You know Roach the guy who trains Pacquiao. some of you clowns are acting like you now more than he does.

Beating Oscar and beating Williams is two different things.

so now I"m a hater because I won't be a sheep and pretend that Pacquiao can beat Williams? It's common sense.

    Exactly.

LATINQUEER was laughing his ass off thinking oscar was going to win by big KO.

Now he's acting like he knew "Oscar was shot and Manny was going to win anyway."

Does anyone have even one shred of respect for his boxing opinion anymore? He has LOK's curse when he picks fights, except he's serious. :atu:

"No one under bantam beats Arce" is a bad post, but Im not sure its worse than:

(sans 2005) "If Ivan Calderon put on some weight and went up to 130, he would beat Barrera and Morales" Hex-None

You made the mistake of underestimating the ability of people here to talk absolute, unmitigated bullshit...

In all honesty REED, I was half kidding. I thought Oscar would be too big and powerful, but Marge and Tall Paul are a different story.

Especially Paul, jesus, he almost dwarfed Marge, let alone Pacquiao

After seeing what he did to Oscar though, even a past it Oscar, I wouldn't count Pacman out of ANY fight up to 147 - assuming say that Paul came to 147.

Paul is a very good fighter, I have come to like him, but we have seen him look very beatable against quintana - a fast, slick opponent.

Pacman against Oscar, showed far more discipline than usual, and barely got hit as a result. Oscar was a bigger man, and Manny fought him accordingly.

I would pick Paul, I'm just saying I wouldn't count Manny out of ANY fight up to 147. He's truly one of the best fighters I've ever seen, and for some reason he seems to have a rejuvenated desire to fight since the Diaz fight.

As you and I discussed before, usually when someone loses their fire, that's it, they don't get it back, they simply lose the desire to fight, and are therefore finished as a boxer, for all intents and purposes.

Not in Manny's case, it was just a lull.

I agree with you about the reasoning behind Paul's height listing too.

Calderon was rocking Oscar during sparring.

If Ivan Calderon put on 135 pounds, he would outbox John Ruiz.

...and if Wlad dropped 135 pounds, he´d KO Calderon with his heavyweight punch in 5 seconds.

I love how fighters always keep their current attributes, while moving up or down 100 pounds.

i think it's done to hide the fact that he doesn't belong at 147.
