That makes no sense at all.

Hatton wants to stay at 140 and a lucrative fight against Pacquiao is all but sure to happen even though the negotations haven't started.

Mayweather would also have nothing to gain by beating Hatton again.

I suppose there's truth to that.

However this doesn't make any sense from his standpoint either.

Maybe he is thinking Wembley stadium and that is a lot of money.... but I think I speak for most when I say nobody is interested in this fight.

    Hatton V Pac
Money V Margarito/Cotto [better chance of Elvis going back on tour]

    Or
    Money V Pac

It makes sense in the same way Lewis-Tyson II made sense to Lennox Lewis.

I suppose Floyd would like to make the biggest money possible with the easiest fight possible. That said, it's not as if Floyd doesn't know what's going on in boxing right now. It would be like calling out an opponent who is line to fight Oscar or Tyson.

Manny isn't quite that big of a draw as those two, but it's a more winnable fight for Ricky and a would certainly draw more money that a rematch with Mayweather would.

If Money dropped to 140 it would make this slightly interesting.. but I still don't wana see it.

I see the financial aspect, but as i stated in my previous post Mayweather knows what's going on right now. He's retired but didn't take a retreat in a cave in Afghanistan. There's no way Hatton would want the rematch with a Pacquiao fight on the table.

Maybe he wants to put his name in the mix figuring it would "blockade" a Hatton-Pac fight?

Even that doesn't make a lot of sense.

i dunno about that......Mayweather may be prepared to hop over the pond and do it in front of 90,000 in London.......surely he'd fancy to knock Hatton out again so the perceived bias judging wouldn't even come into play

.....but, as i said in another thread.....we are getting this through Hatton's camp......it is possible that Mayweather has approached Manny too and we just haven't been told about it

as a fan...ideally i'd like to see Hatton-Pacquaio first, then the winner go on to face Mayweather

this is essentially proof that pbf isn't p4p shit. what's funny is that he thinks we give a shit about his pathetic azz. only reason to watch him: to see Margarito/Cotto/Williams orr Pacquiao KHTFO.

Hatton will choose to fight Pacquiao. Floyd holds no bargaining chips with these two fighters.

I dont want to see Fraud - Pacquioa,.. I think Fraud would defeat him with thorough ease,..Im not fooled by that pathetic Oscar farce, Id much rather Fraud take on the best at welterweight where he belongs,.. but,..ofcourse, that isn't allowed, he's too good for boxing, and we should cheer him towards the biggest money matches, and feel all excited about how much he's going to make.

    Hatton-Pacquiao should be made.

Hopefully all this talk of Mayweather is just posturing.

    Possible...

After REEDing that Article, it Seems LIKELY that Hatton OR Pac Could Price Themselves OUT of the Fight...Hatton's Lawyer Kept STRESSING that a Pac Fight Had to Happen on THEIR (Hatton's) Terms & REED Isn't So Sure Manny & Arum R Willing to B Dictated To...

@ this Point, Manny would Probably ONLY Accept 50-50 for Facing Floyd...Not Sure if he'd Take that for Hatton....So YEAH, there's a GOOD Chance Floyd is Throwing his Name into the Hatton Mix, just to Give Ricky Another Option....

It would not matter a wibbly little bit against Pacquioa, this is obviously another meaningless oppurtune cash-snatch, and Fraud would defeat him eeeeeaaaaaaaasssszizizizizizi'zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz leeeeeeee.

You just don't get it do you KaukipRrr?
He gets a free pass @ WW, because he weighs in @ under 147.
Consequently, he is allowed to be champ of, & campaign @ 147 without any obligation whatsoever to fight the best in the division in which he's fighting.

It's a negotiation ploy. Most fighters do this when they have a big enough name. When someone starts asking for a lot of money, they say no I will fight so and so

Well First off. Floyd can't afford to take a tune up. So that is out. I say this because if he is fighting for the cash he could lose the cash by sucking in a tune up a la baldomire and create a situation where guys just want to step around him. There are plenty of fights to be made without Floyd at this point. He kind of fucked up by retiring frankly unless he wants in on the mix again and with a quickness.

I think Muse is right and Floyd is back at the gate early for the money. Rickey is the draw.... thats what Mayweather wants. And fuck yeah do not be suprised if he wants Oscar at this point. The money is obviously getting lower faster then expected.
