Every now and then a fight comes along that shocks the "common knowledge", like PAC-DLH.

To me, this is NOT one of those fights.

In the light of PAC-DLH... does anyone give Ricky a chance to win this? Pac is significantly faster, has a far higher workrate at this point in their respective careers, hits harder from a one-punch standpoint, has better defense, and has stamina that frankly will embarass Hatton based on Ricky's recent performances.

Even the intangibles... Pac seems far more vigorous, he clearly still has the fire inside, he really wants to win. He is coming off a fantastic performance, and is about as comfortable a fighter as I've seen with his trainer (almost like Roy was with Merck).

I can't see Ricky out-working Pac, out-lasting Pac, out-pointing Pac, or out-ANYTHING Manny. The only hope as I see it would be a freak, all-time great left hook or the like from Ricky which literally KO's Manny rendering him unable to beat the count.

Does anyone out there see this as a more even contest?

DLH didn't really try to do anything in the fight. He was beaten to the punch and beaten up and couldn't find Manny. This won't be the case with Hatton.

They will go toe to toe and it will come down to who can take more punishment. I favor Manny, but not by much.

Manny never really got punch yet from anybody 135 and above. Diaz is not a puncher, Hoya didn't do shit. Hatton got a one punch ko in his arsenal. Manny can hurt hatton but can't take him out with only one punch.

Hatton will Ultimately LOSE, but he'll Pose MORE of a Challenge than DeLa did...Hatton will @ Least ATTEMPT To IMPOSE Himself Upon Manny Pac...Hatton STILL Has Quick Hands & He'll Probably B STRONGER than Manny N the Clinches...

But When it's All Said & Done, Hatton's Tooooooooooo AVAILABLE to B Hit, his Skin is Toooooooooooooo TENDER & for the 2nd Time N a Row, Manny Pac will Dispose of a Common Opponent EARLIER than Floyd Mayweather Did...

N Terms of FANBASE, this is THE BEST Fight to B Made...Hatton's Got THE Most RABID Fans N Boxing, w/Manny Pac's Being a Close 2nd...

Ignoring knowledge and indulging in echolocation.
Pacquioa is getting a bit overrated chaps, I do like this fight because it 'happens' that Hatton is one of the champs at 140, I personally dont think he's the best, but it's certainly a good opponent for Pacquioa to take at this weight to prove he is something to be reckoned with,... because for now, all Pacquioa has done above 135, is beat up the equivalent of a thorough welterweight scrub.

I don't take much of what I saw against DLH who was a deer in the headlights, as giving me much to go on regarding Pac-Hatton.
Hatton won't be a sitting duck, he will attempt to maul Manny.
In fact prior to the Pac fight, I'd be more inclined to pick DLH over Hatton than Pac over Hatton.
Not sure just yet-tough to pick.

I think this is a key point. Hatton's chin is available to be hit, but he's not just a stationary fighter. He's shifty, he leaps in with punches, he pivots, he clutches, he grabs, he holds.

Guys like Barrera, Marquez and DLH will look very deliberate compared to him.

    Hatton with surprising ease.

Bad style matchup for Manny imo.

Hatton mauls him in a less than exciting fight.

wow, I'm shocked at the number of people who think Pac win, and some even think it's gonna be easy. I see it completely the opposite with Hatton winning with room to spare

its apparently at the thomas and mack center.

all you guys need to also remember that hatton has never lost at 140, and never looked close to losing at that weight, and beaten some good fighters. his bad performances have come at 147.

i'll be surprised if manny beats him to be honest.

also how can some of you say he's not the best at 140? he legitimately destroyed the real champ in tsyzu and has continued to defend. saying he is not the real champ is ridiculous imo.

the only thing i think manny has going for him is that he is a lefty and hatton has struggled with them before, but mayweather snr seems like a clever guy, i'm sure they will deal with it.

Ricky is too big and not decilined enough for Manny to beat him IMHO

This is a very easy fight for Pac. 2 different levels of fighters. Pacs defence footwork and upperbody movement as well as the best offence in boxing = easy win.
