Zsolt? Isn't he like boring as hell. They should televise Dawson kicking his azz. That'd be interesting to watch.

Thanks for the news Mitch. Now I'll have a reason to watch FSN...

    Reminder:

The first of these broadcasts will be Tuesday night, December 23rd, with Carl Froch-Jean Pascal.

    Local times will probably vary.

In the SF Bay Area, it's listed - ONCE - at 11 PM.

    Agree 100%.
MSG does it sporadically, but doing it regularly will be nothing but good for the sport and the fans.

great news for the sport as as whole. If we are going to sell matchup with foreign fighters the public needs to know who they are and what they can do in the ring. This will help make for more interesting matchmaking.

Agreed. It gives exposure to foreign fighters who could only be seen previously on the internet (at best), it puts boxing back on FSN consistently, and it raises the quality of the fights...unlike most of their live BDSSP events (after some of their initial offerings like Larios-McCullough), which they were getting from Goossen Tutor.

The one thing I'm worried about, though, is that every broadcast is going to be limited to 1 hour...which means I wouldn't be surprised if some broadcasts cut rounds out.

Hopefully they run ads during some of their programming, to raise the awareness of these broadcasts.

I would have to imagine that for doubleheaders, a lot more than one hour would be allotted. Froch-Pascal could squeeze into an hour time frame - you don't need a lot of before/after commentary, even though networks often fall in love with themselves in this regard. I can't see any of the fights they plan to air warranting major roundtable discussion, especially if they're keeping the same studio team.

Yeah. To be honest, I think I'd prefer it if they just chose one fight to air in it's entirety, and then if there's time after it because it ended early or whatever, then show another fight (highlights or in full).

    I hate watching incomplete fights.

You see what they did with the Froch fight...zipping out 20 seconds in the 12th rd and I think they did it in other rounds too.
    Why? Fuckwads.
