wow havent seen him fight in ages... all i remember is that he was extremely talented. honestly at the time it was hard to find a pair of hands faster than Ismael Laguna.
I was just watching his fight with Mando Ramos which is why I asked. Yeah he was fast as fuck. Outside of Camacho, and maybe Mosley, the quickest hands Ive ever seen at 135.
He has wins over Carlos Ortiz, Mando Ramos, and a draw with Niccolino Locche. I'd say he belongs. Maybe not an atg, but definitely HOF material.
Laguna was an excellent fighter. The win against Mando Ramos was tainted by Laguna's dirty tactics in the fight when he was on his way to being knocked out by body punches, tactics he couldn't get away with today and he stopped Mando after he laced Ramos' eye open and Jackie MCCoy couldn't stop the bleeding in between rounds. A classy boxer/puncher, Laugna was a well-schooled, fundamentally sound conventional fighter that was always in condition, game, and was always unafraid.
Huh? Laguna was about to be stopped with body shots? Laguna pot shotted the living bejesus outta Ramos with right hand leads, and jabs.. I think that just "might" have had something to do with Ramos getting cut.
Iguana is an average prospect, he doesn't do one thing too badly, he clearly hasnt stepped it up yet, though when he does I expect him to win 50% of the time against fellow fringe contenders like Mark Suarez, Manuel Gomez and the like. Not sure why you're on the bandwagon Xplosive,... there's no pace or power in this perce of bones.
