Too bad for Mustafa Al Turk. He got bludgeoned by Kongo and his 7k salary will be spent nursing his wounds for the next few months. Although I think Mike Wessel has it worst. 4K for getting some years knocked off his life courtesy of the knees and fists of Hardonk. [/FONT]
Silva gets the KO of the night bonus too? They could have used that money to bump up the salaries of guys that got paid $4,000.
some of those guys making 5,000 should fake a good ko, kick thier feet up in the air like a cartoon, stick their thumb in their mouths and sleep.
Ok, but why is Forrest Griffin still in the 100,000.00 salary range? Wasn't he suposed to be like a little bit higher? beating on shogun and then on Jackson? I mean, even Silva, a perennial loser in UFC gets paid double that amount. I though Zuffa paid in terms of popularity. Griffin is a pretty popular guy with good wins lately over top names.
Because fighters like Silva,Jackson and Nogiera are under there old Pride contracts still and legally the UFC has to abide by it till it expires. When you by an organization you buy whatever comes with it. EDIT:I'm sorry Jackson is under contract with that one org UFC bought that went belly up after one show.I forgot the name of it ...but anyway they was paying jackson good change obviously
I don't think the guys on the receiving end of the KO and Sub of the night receive the Bonus. I think that's an error in reporting. TFK
Wow, seeing what top stars make in the UFC make, makes me want to go out and be a UFC fighter!! :atu:
you have known what top boxers have made for years, what has stopped you from going out and doing that? Talent?:dunno:
Pretty Much I like MMA but never agreed with the way Zuffa pay there fighters.Fighters getting paid 4 or 5 g's is damn comedy. The UFC expects them to be pro's but won't shell out the funds to help them prepare like pro'sl And why can't these stupid ko ,sub and fight of the night bonuses go to the fighters making shit?
