    Funny, yet TRUE...

OBVIOUSLY, Bam Bam's Father has Spent ALOT of Time Honing his Skills, so U'd BEST BELIEVE he's HIT his Son a Time or 2, to See how he REACTs to Being Hit...The LAST Thing U Want is for your Son to Get for the 1st Time N a REAL Fight...

During the Little Bit of "Training" REED had Growing Up, REED Sr. CLOCKED him a Few Times, just to Guage his Chin...Not w/ALL of his Power Behind it, Obviously, but HARDER than Any Child REED's Age EVER Hit him...

I posted a soccer video of a Serbian 'wonderkid' some months ago, this kid looked incredible and a sure thing to make it big. He is now 16 years old and not good enough for a YOUTH team of his club (Schalke) and only has one appearance for the Serbian U-17 team, and he sucked.

So this kid hitting the mitts impressively or whatever does not make him the future of boxing.

people who say it is dying are the narrow-minded fans who's prototypical superstar is rjj or tyson.

i've been remarkably satisfied with the fights that have been made in recent times:

    izzy/raffy
    pac/jmm
    tony/cotto

i think your question in fact is:

"who said african american boxing is dying.....?"

the answer to your actual question remains to be seen.

What's this supposed to mean? Year after year, we see spectacular fights, and get to watch spectacular fighters. But you somehow have it in your mind that it's "dying?" Or "could" be dying? I can't help but think that this is more a case of fighters disappearing who's balls you like to lick than anything to do with the sport at large. Am I wrong?

1st of All, REED Attached a LAUGHING SMILEY to the Quote "Who Says Boxing is DYING"....2nd, if U've Read ANY of REED's Posts Whenever there's a Doom & Gloom, "Boxing is Dying" Thread, U ALREADY KNOW REED DOESN'T Believe N that BULLSHIT...

3rd, Instead of INQUIRING as to WHAT REED's Intent was, U Got RACIAL (Something U HATE for Other Posters to ACCUSE U Of)...So Basically, U COULDN'T B MORE Wrong, Bitch...

That's interesting. How do you explain that?

Was he just flashy? Style over substance?

With boxing it's easier to explain. The guy simply might not have the chin, the mental endurance, the stamina etc.

But with a footballer, if he seemed exceptionally skilled at a young age, you'd think he still would be at 16.

i guess the bottom line is i didn't find the footage very impressive. it was cute to watch the little guy hit the mits, but that's as far as it goes. i guess i took REED's post too seriously because as he said, he IS always optimistic about the state of affairs and has never shown signs of buying into the rumors of the sport's down-fall.
