    :dunno::dunno::dunno:

Toooooo OFTEN, we Look @ the Most RECENT Fight of an Older Fighter & WRITE OFF his Chances N Ensuing Fights...After All, Holyfield STRUGGLED w/Bobby Czyz of All People, so HOW Could he Last even a Full ROUND w/Mike Tyson, Right???....

Joe Louis Really LOST his 1st Fight w/Jearsey Joe Walcott, yet Got the Knod N an EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIAL Decision...So N the RE, Walcott would AGAIN Assert Himself on Louis & Actually GET the Win he Deserved, Right???...

After Really LOSING to Jeff Fenech the 1st Time, How Could Azumah Nelson Possibly COPE w/him N the RE, Right???...

Boys & Girls, Sugar Shane Mosley is Being UNDERestimated Here...REED has YET to Hear (or REED as the Case may B) ANY Poster Giving Shane even a REMOTE Chance of BEATING Antonio Margarito...REED's even Heard MOST Predict Margarito by KO...

But the Thing is, WHO has EVER KO'ed Mosley???:dunno:...Forrest Came CLOSE N Round 2 of their 1st Pro Fight, but he COULDN'T Close the Deal...Bottom Line, Sugar Shane has 1 of the BETTER Chins of his Era...His HANDSPEED & FLEET FOOTEDness Also Put him N the Upper Echelon Amongst his Contemporaries....

Margarito WILL Have PROBLEMS w/the HANDSPEED of Shane Mosley...Mark it Down, Put it N your Pipe & SMOKE it...& if Shane STILL has the FOOTWORK to Engage Margarito on his OWN Terms, he CAN Pull this Shit Off...REED CAN'T See Shane STOPPING Margarito, but OUTPOINTING him ISN'T Out of the Realm of Possiblity...

Most of Ya'll Saw Shane STRUGGLING w/Ricardo Mayorga & Applied THAT Fight to the Upcoming Margarito Bout...But if U're Gonna Do that, B FAIR & Give Shane CREDIT for STRETCHING a Guy who'd NEVER been Stretched B 4 (STOPPED, Sure, but Mayorga had NEVER been Done like THAT, Previously)...

Margarito SHOULD B Favored & he IS an ELITE Welterweight...But that DOESN'T Minimize the FACT that he's a LIMITED Fighter...Would ANY of Ya'll Pick Margarito Over a PRIME, Welterweight Sugar Shane????...REED Certainly Wouldn't....

REED Thinks Sugar Shane just Might have 1 Last "GREAT 1" Left in His System...Don't Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.....

Shane couldve had that last great effort against the slower Cotto, but he lacked the fire at his old age.

no. hopkins is putting money on tony ( like any reasonable fan would)
and used FNF in an attempt tip the tide on the odds. btw, i think he did the same regarding the Diaz/Jmm fight.

boxing is the only reason hopkins isn't a career criminal. keep that in mind in considering everything he says or does.

what will hurt mosley is margarito's resilience and workrate. Shane is very similar to Cotto in the way they pace themselves to conserve energy, tailor made for Margarito to exploit.

This is only the third time I'm actually rooting AGAINST Shane - the other two times being his set against Winky. I've picked against him in the past (Cotto fight being the most recent occasion), but have been largely indifferent to his career.

He's a nice enough guy and a class act, but I'm rooting for Tony for no other reason than just to see the old guys finally get the fuck outta the way once and for all.

    If
he stops Shane, it will either be from a flurry of unanswered punches or consecutive rounds of punishment and forced to quit on his stool. Either occasion, it would be completely against his will.

I think it'll go 12, but don't believe that Shane has enough to keep up with Tony in order to steal a decision.

I submitted a credential app. yesterday too, it'd probably help the cause to see my pre-fight up. No worries, brother Carlos is busy hollerin' at bitches, and that is definitely more important.

This is my prediction. marge TKO after Mosley's corner stops it after 10 rounds.

Of course he is. Everyone knows Margarita is just a big, strong guy with a good chin. Mosley has all the skills. Is faster. Has better defence. Better footwork. Better everything and he's a three weight champion.

Mosley wins easy, because Margarita is nathan special.

    Margarito by stoppage mid-late.
When Marge stops Mosley the "if" will be brought up in defense:lol:
Regardless, what good is the supposed handspeed of a fighter who cannot let his hands go in the first place.

yes he is being underatted, for sure Margarito is the favorite but Mosley could possibly win this one, after all, a lot of person had him winning vs Cotto not too long ago

Mosley will be unable to backpedal like Cotto did for the entire fight. He will have to trade. I do think his chin can hold up under the circumstances. Mayorga did have Shane hurt a couple of times too but this was at 154. I think Shane fighting at 147 will ultimately be the main factor that does him in via corner or ref stoppage. He will be there punching until the end, but he'll need rescuing like Cotto did.

Has Shane gotten out of the way of an over hand right yet? Anyways the one thing Shane knows how to do and that is make a fight look ugly. I think before he gets stopped the shit will get real ugly. However I see Tony outpointing Shane. I'll Holla 5000

Cotto had "better everything" and what happened? And Cotto is younger than Shane. AND Cotto beat Shane.

Being a three weight champion? WTF does that have anything to do with this fight?

Care to put some money on this fight?

it just sucks that when Shane loses we wont get to hear Jack Mosley say "Shane's back just got tight.. I don't know what it was.. Shane is so strong, his back went out"

Shane is being overestimated, in that he must have someone on his team who thinks he can win

The only way this fight goes 12 rounds is if the ref lets Shane hold.

I'm completely neutral for this fight,.. from a boxing fans point of view, Margarito and his management have irritated me a bit,.. making me want to go against Margarito, as Shane has always been one of my very favourites anyway, I love the shiny black beast, love him,........ but then I think of this messageboard, and all the Fraud groupies and Puerto Ricans that dwell within :crafty:,...baying for Margarito's blood, all due to disgracefully bitter reasons where they all still refuse to come to terms with the truth, ...and that straightens the preference tip back to neutral again.

As for the fight, Shane early, Margarito late, 6 a piece.

Problem is, Shane isn't even that fast and mobile anymore. He's slowed down a LOT, his hands barely looked faster than Mayo's.

And whereas sometimes when an aging fighter has a mediocre performance, you can just tell it's because they are disinterested, and are just going through the motions.

That certainly didn't look to be the case with Shane and Mayo. Shane was trying hard, he just isn't anywhere near the fighter he once was.

As usual I agree with everything you said and would like to add, that of course Shane has a chance. In my opinion though he only has a punchers chance and given Shane's mediocre power and Margarito's outstanding chin I'd say it's practically a given that Margarito wins this fight. The main problem working against Shane will be the difference in workrate between the 2. Tony punches all fight long while Shane picks his spots here and there and clinches the other half. With the huge punch disparity I'm expecting there is no chance I can see Shane winning a fair decision. I'd be happy if he just manages to keep his never "been stopped before" streak alive.

Reed's polermic is intriguing. Truth is a lot of people thought Cotto would eat shane for lunch and he didn't.

As Tam said (I did catch the hint of sarcasm:lol:) Marg is basically a big strong guy with great chin and no 2nd gear.

But Mosley may respond favorably to that treatment.... Margarito will be there to be hit and Shane will tie up where Cotto had the need to engage even when her was not getting the job done. Shane also does have prety good power, something you don't lose with age so much.

I don't know if I buy it I will decide... but it has possabilities reed.

Might sound like i'm nuthugging trying to find anything to give to COTTO...but listen up...

everyone is saying that Cotto might never be the same after the Margarito fight.....but nobody has mention IF Margarito would be the same....Cotto took an all around beating..head and body...Margarito took 100's of clean head shot to the head...yes he took 'em well.....but he took more punishment in that Cotto fight that any other fight i have seen of him...

So will Margarito be the same after the Cotto fight??....
