With Ortiz-Harris as the co-feature. Damn, thats a pretty good B.A.D double header. Julio is a very live underdog against Kirkland, but I cant see shot ass Stiffvian lasting more than 5 rounds against Ortiz.

I'm liking the look of the upcoming B.A.D. cards....hopefully setanta or sky get on the case and snap these up...

....last year i felt like there were too many cards with just one standout fight

Kirkland vs. Julio will B the Type of Action Fight that REED THOUGHT Kirkland vs. Vera would B...

Kirkland's Chin ISN'T Stout Enough to WARRANT his Level of Aggression & Julio had his Heart TAKEN by Quintana...Something's Gotta GIVE Here & It Should B a BLAST Finding Out What...

Some NICE Matchups on the Early '09 Calendar...

Possible, but Bear N Mind that Kirkland's the HARDEST Puncher Julio's Ever Faced Also...

But Julio has shown he can take a punch and he´s dangerous early. He kept that fight with Dzinziruk even for about five or six rounds and landed some good shots before Dzinziruk took over and put a little beating on him over the last six rounds. Quintana and Dziniziruk are crafty veterans, Kirkland is raw. Very good match-up though. Is this on HBO or Showtime?

It's Part of a B.A.D. Doubleheader, so HBO...

Dan Rafael says it might even be a triple-header. Apparently Golden Boy wants to add Robert Guerrero to the card.

That would be a good addition but i'm satisfied with the card as is.

Usually this would be Kirkland and Ortiz vs two unheard of midwestern cans. Nice to see some fights that could actually be competitive.

It would be good for Robert to have a quick turn around after Ruiz, if all goes as planned, and good for the card because I can't say I have much interest in Kirkland-Julio.

I guess there's some entertainment value to be found in the match-up, but I think both have just about reached their limit for times I want to see them on HBO...at least against this level of opposition.

Chavez is completely shot he looked just terrible on the Diaz-Katsidis undercard.

    No argument there.

But they've been talking about Guerrero getting this fight near his hometown, in San Jose...so I guess it should be expected that they look for a name that doesn't present too much risk.

    Good news from Dan Rafael:

"They offered the fight to Jesus Chavez. But Golden Boy said he turned it down."

Guerrero has turned into a real aggressive, dirty, ass-kicker. He might have Levander Johnston'd him. Good news that fight isn't happening.

Julio v Kirkland should be good fun. Kirkland can't helicopter his way through a fight with Julio. He punches a little too straight for that.

I'd favor Julio's more compact punching and his chin against kirkland's lack of chin and wild punching.

    Anybody seen Daud Yordan fight?

He's The Ghost's opponent on this card.

Why the fuck do they go all the way to Indonesia to find someone no one heard or care about. Garbage fight.

BUt I really like the other 2 matchups, if they could have found a name opponent for Guerrero, it would have been a very good B.A.D. card

Julio seems to be the better technically skilled fighter and Kirkland can get wild at times. That would seem to play into Joel's favor.
