Roy Would've LOST to Both, but KO Losses to the Klits would've Been BETTER for Roy's Legacy than KO Losses to Tarver & Glencoffe....

He would have had the slimmest of chances with the "old" Wlad if he could have found a way to make him reach, and give up his height and exposing his chin. Highly doubtful anyway.

Nope if either landed it would have been over. Saying that he would have made them look stupid for a few rounds.

I dont know these days how much weight or size really plays a part in boxing,.. rounds go for 3 choppy minutes,.. and some fighters are allowed to run and clinch every minute of every round out with very little penalty,.. it could have been very plausible for Roy to back up for 1 minute, duck right down low before scoring with the odd lead right / potshot, that turns into a clinch ....(Is it really any wonder that Hopkins never gets hit?) 'defensive brilliance', yeah right suckers..

Without the rules being enforced, there are ways that smaller fighters can beat heavyweights on points,.. but it's not really 'fighting' ,..it's cheap cat and mouse, - still,.. the little man would be glorified and carved in gold for an accomplishment that isn't a 'boxing' win... just exploitation of referees who wont ever enforce the fucking rules.

Nah...neither one was as limited or as crappy a fighter as Ruiz.

If Jones REALLY thought he could have beaten either of the Klitschkos, he would have made the fight happen.

I just don't see Jones hitting hard enough at heavy for this to happen.

    Good point.

If it was the one that fought Hopkins he could have some problems.

I tend to agree to a point, but..

I also MORE SO agree that the worst thing that Jones ever did was move back down to 175 after such a huge weight gain. Especially at his advancing age at that point.

If Roy Jones had concentrated on gaining another 20 pounds the right way...who knows?

Even at 200 against Ruiz....Roy looked like a sculpted statue.

And then he starves himself back down to 175???:dunno:

Very stupid decisionmaking by Roy Jones in my opinion.
