Hell naw they can't,where is the 233 million going? We'll never know because in Dana Whites words "I'm not telling you our fucking finances" :shit:

Whats funny is that the established UFC fighters don't need the UFC.Its been proven that if your established and well known, you can make more money as a freeelance fighter.Fedor,Sylvia,Arlovski,Barnett exc exc are living proof of this.

But for the up and coming fighters, there gonna go through alot of knee pads to stay in Dana Whites good graces or no bonus for them.

Isn't Zuffa still using the "UFC lost a lot of money for years when it first started" excuse?

They probably lost 20-30 million back then but they made that up in the first year after the FIRST season of the Ultimate Fighter. What season are we in now? 7? 8?

The way Dana White speaks is an embarassement to UFC in particular in MMA in general, he should really grow up

I agree. I never understood his constant need to drop F Bombs every two seconds. It's one thing if he's on TUF in the house with the fighters and he's trying to come off as 'one of the guys', but when you're being interviewed on national television, you have to compose yourself at a respectable level.

I'm not sure why so many people get hung up on how much fighters make and how much the UFC makes. I also find it curious that nobody questions any other promotions finances. Maybe it's because the UFC actually puts the numbers out there for all to see. These guys sign the contracts, they know exactly how much they stand to make. They agreed to it. If there was more to be made why wouldn't they go someplace else?

Maybe if this thread was about MMA fighter pay in general it would mean something but seeing who it's coming from and the way it's posted, it's just another attack on the UFC. Why don't you post up some numbers for EliteEX Shows, or Dream show or anything else so we can get a fair comparison and evaluate the market value of MMA fighters. You know like a real discussion.

Am I defending the UFC, damn right I am. Call me a fan boy, TUF noob, what ever it is they are calling people on sherdog these days, I don't care. I want to watch the most and best MMA and the UFC is bringing that to me on a far more regular basis than any other promotion.

    U're MISSING the Point...

The Other MMA Organizations Probably Pay LESS than UFC does but How Many of them MADE 250 Mil Last Year???:dunno:...The Thing is, UFC CAN AFFORD to Pay their Fighters More, they just DON'T...

Here's the real question, why do we care? I mean really? All I am interested in is the product, which I enjoy. I do not care what anyone makes, it makes no difference to me.

So was all of the 250mil profit? Or is that just revenue in general? What about all the other employees of the UFC? What about site fees? I could go on and on, there are figures missing from this picture.

That's the thing. The 250 Million number isn't profit, it's total revenue before expenses. And the video was a little misleading. They said the average UFC fighter makes $25,000-30,000 a year, but that doesn't take into account that there is something like 200 fighters under contract to the UFC, many of them curtain jerkers who's fights aren't televised that may only fight 1 time a year, if at all. That's gonna skew the numbers.

Should UFC fighters make more? Sure. But so should teachers, police, fire fighters, EMS, etc, etc, etc. That's life. Nobody is forcing these guys to sign these contracts. And if they truly, honestly have a problem with the money, then they don't have to sign with the UFC.

The PROBLEM is, Dana White & the UFC Suck THEIR OWN Dicks about how their "Business Model" is SUPERIOR to Other Combat Sports & Organizations...By Saying that, they're Basically BEGGING People to Note WHAT they Pay the Fighters...

No, the 250 Mil WASN'T All Profit, but Do YOU Honestly Think the UFC had Anywhere NEAR 230 mil N PAYROLL or Site Fees???....

Exactly, the UFC has more funds to pay their fighters than a fucking school or council.

TFK, so basically, you think most of that 230 odd mil is taken up by advertising and site fees?

It's a very good analogy. Everyone is underpaid.

But that's not even the point. The point is, if these fighters have a problem with what the UFC pays them, they don't have to sign the contracts. Period.

Also, I won't pretend to know what the UFC's expenses are, but it's not cheap to run an MMA group. Remember, EliteXC was around for a little more than a year, and they lost over 50 Million Dollars. And they were on a much smaller scale than the UFC.

It's like you are arguing that shit is yellow. Look right here. Yellow. This proves shit is yellow.

And you fail to pull back and acknowledge that you are focusing on a piece of corn in a big pile of shit known as the UFC business model.
