He might be wishing he had that paycheck for the De La rematch.

Forgot where I read it, but I remember prior to Mayweather-Hatton reading that Tyson saying he was rooting for Hatton to beat Floyd, because he doesnt like Floyd and Floyd had become too arrogant, or something along those lines.

Sounds like something Mike Would Say...

Floyd Actually ALIENATES himself from the Old School GREATS of Boxing...He's even Told Sweet Pea Whittaker & Sugar Ray Leonard that they COULDN'T Beat him...& when Tarver Beat Roy the 1st Time, Floyd Suddenly "Revealed" that he KNEW Tarver would Knock Roy Out, Cause Tarver had Been Saying it Since '96...

Muzse has mentioned this quote a few times, but when Floyd was talking shit to Leonard, didnt they ask Ray something like "Ray dont you wish you were 25 again to beat Floyd" and Ray responded by saying "I'd only need 35 to beat him".

If a prime Leonard was around at 147, best believe Floyd woulda stayed his ass at 140. That is unless, a prime Pryor was at 140... then Floyd woulda never left lightweight.

    He liked Origami?

Frankly, I'd like to see what he could do with that Wlad cut-out Haye was walking around with.

how much money did Floyd have at his richest times? 20 million? 30 maybe?

maybe i'm just simple and not too materialistic but i don't see how that's enough to throw money into crowds of people, and have 6 million just in jewellery

Seems like you don't know when 10 years is up and you are too willing to believe a bullshit article.

Floyd is almost surely rich right now and will definitely be rich in 9 years.

Unlike other posters, there's only so many "I told you so's" one can spout before becoming annoying. It's not like this is a surprise to anyone...well, the vast majority of us.

He retired because there were challenges ahead and he was more concerned with his 'legacy'. He's still got a good payday or two ahead of him in Pacquiao.

Because Floyd is such an asshole and will only come back when he is broke, I really hope he gets knocked silly in his first fight back.

That's what he deserves for robbing the fans of great fights that could have been made. WE made his spoiled ass rich. He gave nothing back to the fans, he just retired like a bitch.

If this means Floyd comes back...good. Perhaps he'll come back humbled (doubt it) but it's possible.

On the plus side, it hurts his negotiating stance with whoever he tries to come back against.

As said earlier, if he can sell certain assets (like houses) he can repay the tax bill. They'll be sold at a loss but he'll have his tax burden lifted (until his dumbass does the same thing again).

Maybe we can all get together and buy one of Floyd's houses. We can use it as a party house and drop in center when there's big fights in Vegas. That way nobody will have to pay for a hotel room. :bears:

If he's losing money this quickly after 1 year, he'll probably be worse than broke in another 9.

Honestly, I hope the guy ends up destitute and curled up in a puddle under a pile of newspapers somewhere.

I have no problem with boxers making plenty of cash; it's a tough and dangerous game and the rewards should reflect that. But, putting aside PBF's appalling arrogance and complete disregard for the paying fans who put the money in his pockets in the first place, is there anything more unsightly than seeing someone flaut their 'wealth' so publically. :dunno:

Seriously, the whole 'Money Mayweather' thing turns my stomach. Absolutely grotesque. If he DOES come back into boxing, I hope Cotto/Marge/Williams beat the holy fuck out of him and he gets paid a pittance for the priviledge.

Not only did he waste what would have been his prime years, but now he has wasted his money it seems. What a complete dick...

I'm so angry Floyd lost his money! Fuckin cunt bitch ass!

    What's with this?

Who cares about it really? You won't get a penny of his money and personally, wishing another man who's made his money and properties through hard work and dedication to the sport we all love, is kind of shitty.

I don't wish for him to suffer and be broke (He's got a family to carry) and I really don't think he's anywhere near broke but if he's losing a bit of money it's good I guess because we'll get to see him fight again and all you whiners will pay again to see him fight because guess what, he's still magnificent.

Floyd is an american hero, you guys are being cruel, he's made multiple millions of dollars, more than ya'll will ever see combined, now he may only end up with one million,.. from having 10's of millions to just 1 million,.. I dont want to see Floyd cry again while he simultaneously recieves a cheque for 8 million dollars, people were harsh to criticise both the fight and his performance against Carl Baldonberger,.. that was just mean,...he didnt deserve that from the press or the shit he copped from Larry Merchant the racist, you got to feel for Floyd, it's been a rough, rough ride. Think about it, millions and millions to just 1 million,..?... that's alot to lose,.. I mean you've got to atleast, consider feeling sorry for the guy...
