Round By Round: Andre Berto vs. Luis Collazo

I didn't see Berto win 7 rounds...even 6-6 in rounds means Collazo wins by a point.

 

Berto won. In fact I don;t think Collazo won round 1. he was the only guy who was REALLY hurt. Berto was knocked off balance while Collazo was actually hurt (look at his legs). Close but clear win for Berto.

 

He got his ass beat, he just managed to win in the process.

 

Collazo was the 1 who could barely stand in round 12, not Berto.

 

cause Hatton has better thing to do that get his ass kick by some young'n...who if left alone will fail by himself...

 

I wouldn´t say clear. Lederman had one real stinker round in there he gave to Collazo, but it was a 6-6 to 7-5 fight, which means Berto by a point at most. Giving it to him by 8 rounds to 4 would be a stretch imho.

 

ledderman was way off. His card stunk. Round 7 to Collazo is 1 of the stupidest things I have ever seen.

Yes, that was the horrible round, but besides that you´d still have to find two rounds Lederman got obviously wrong to come up with a close, but clear win. I guess you gave Berto rounds one and six, but those could have gone to Collazo easily.

 

No you don't. Ledderman had 115-112. You score round 7 correctly and you have 114-113. You only need 1 other round for Berto. Give 1 and 6 to Berto and you have 115-112 for him I believe. Fight was far from a robbery. Collazo blew it.

 

Yes, that´s a close win, but not a clear win. Clear would constitute Berto clearly winning seven rounds. Ah it´s all semantics.

 

Yeah, Dawson is leagues better than Berto.

I didnt see the fight yet(bout to catch the replay in a sec) but if Berto can barely get by Collazo, he has no real future amongst the elite of 147.

 

Berto 'lost his balance' in round one after receiving a punch from Collazo. Had the ropes not being there he would had fall on his ass. Berto came back a landed a good punch later, but Collazo was bobing & weaving to elude the following barrage of punches, hardly less dramatic than the almost knockdown Berto got. That round should had been a 10-8 for Collazo, but as it stands it was still a 10-9 for Collazo. You guys giving Berto that round is a real stretch of what happened on the ring.

1 guy lost his balance the other's legs did something funny. Please, lets not skew what happened that round. The punch that knocked Berto off balance wasn't even that good. The punch that hurt Collazo was flush.

 

I thought that was a proper robbery. Collazo won by 3 points.

Some of you on here said Berto sucked before, I challenged that statement, but you were right basically.

Berto is a fairly average fighter with fast hands.

I picked Berto to win close but clear. No way he won this fight. I don't think Berto won more than 2 rounds.

Shit, the only rounds he won clearly were 6 or 7, and then 11 and 12.

I'm not even sure Berto would beat Mayorga.

 

Actually although it looked like a balance shot (which it was partly) - Berto was hurt after that, no doubt. In fact he stayed hurt and holding a lot until near the end of the round.

That was Collazo's round for sure.

 

Mayorga is shot to shit now, so Berto prob beats him.

The 03 Mayorga would knock out Berto though.

 

i thought he was just ahead going into the 12th vs Shane....whats more, i give him a very good shot vs Angulo
