Of course they deserve it, one last chance to get that final Roycott in before he retires. If this is going to be a PPV it should at least be one of those low rate ones that comes in around 20 bucks or so. If this is the usual 49.99 rate, then it's a robbery.

i was referring to the local fans......he is their hero and he generally doesn't fight in Pensacola.....it could be their last chance to see him in action, in the flesh

Actually if I'm not mistaken it was the Pensacola fans who started all that Roycott shit. Or at least some of them.

I think we have a different definition of shot fighter vs past his prime fighter

past his prime means...not as good...not nearly as good as before

shot means....he has nothing but his name

anyhow.....wait and see how Roy Jones fucks sheika up very badly

Brotha Reed I wouldn't even let you get in the ring with Roy. Don't even worry dawg. I got this. That way you wouldn't have to sacrifice too much. Me on the other hand would only have to lose maybe 5 to 7lbs to be at the 175 limit. The only thing I want you to do is be in my corner. I'll Holla 5000

Roy could be 75 years old, and still fuck up Sheika. Doesnt mean he's not shot. It just means that the gap in class between them is sooooo big, that it doesnt matter that Roy is shot.

ALL Roy has left is good handspeed. But shit, Tyson still had his power when he fought Lewis, does that mean Mike wasnt shot?

Ray Leonard was still pretty fast when Norris beat him, but it doesnt matter. Ray was still shot. And make no mistake, the Jones that Calzaghe beat was shot.

I don't want to ever see Roy fight again.......unless he let's it ALL hang out. (Which he never has even in his prime)

Jones is at his best,....the best fighter I have ever seen.

    But his heart pumps Kool-Aid.

Leonard was BEYOND shot when Camacho beat him. But I see your point. Either way, Roy is far removed from his prime, and against Calzaghe looked pretty damn close to being shot.

That is starting to sound like Kid Dynamite's rhetoric:lol: I don't know if there are different levels of shotness, it is just that the term shot is thrown out so freely so that it doesn't seem to be descriptive anymore.

Perhaps the term for 'beyond shot' should be Cappucino?

REED Likes the Idea of Roy @ least PURSUING a Crusier Title, Since it's the Only Thing he HASN'T Won from 160-Heavy...But REED Isn't Sure that Adamek is the Crusier Champion that Roy Should Go After...

Adamek has Looked ALOT Better @ Crusier than he Did @ Lightheavy...

Agreed. Roy might be better at his advanced age fighting a bit higher where his speed would still be excellent. In his recent form Jones perhaps still could outbox Adamek for three of four rounds but he can't keep it up anymore and Adamek will hit damn lot harder than Calzaghe did. It might not end pretty

If Roy wants to fight at Cruiser then he should. He is no longer a player at 175 and not by a long shot. He has a shot at winning at cruiser, but I agree with REED, just not Adamek

    Jones is beyond shot.

He went from NEAR PRIME at Heavy against Ruiz, to PAST PRIME vs Tarver when he won a clear UD, then went straight to SHOT in the re getting knocked out, and has been BEYOND SHOT ever since the road warrior knocked him out with a jab. Jones decline was insanely fast !

Sheika isn't nearly as bad of a fighter as everyone says, and he is only just SHOT, so I'd give him a descent say 30% chance at KO'ing Roy.
