To say Tito didn't take a shot is like saying Joe Louis couldn't take a shot. Louis was also known for getting dropped early and often in some of his fights and like Tito he usually went on to take out his opponent. Tito couldn't take a shot hunh? How many times did he get counted out again? Tito may have been dropped a lot but I don't ever remember him stumbling around or looking hurt from any of them. Tito is a great and the only way this would be a close fight is if it happened today.

Really? When has Shane ever made a fool out of any elite fighter above 135?

Thats hardly suprising or worth mentioning. That you can't remember those occasions says more about you, than it does about Tito.

two or three years ago is when they were supposed to fight. Shane fought on that ESPN undercard against Cruz and Margarito was the headliner against Cintron.

at that time Shane said he needed more tune ups to before fighting Margarito.

so forget about Shane making a fool of him. He wouldn't even fight him back then. Let alone beat him now.

I am not saying Shane was scared of Margarito. All I'm saying is that he was reluctant to fight him and that says alot about how hard of a fight Margarito was at the time.

U're NEGLECTING to Mention the Fact that Shane was Coming Off of 2 CONSECUTIVE Losses to Winky Wright (Not to Mention the Controversial "Win" Over DeLa, the NC vs. Marquez & CONSECUTIVE LOSSES to Vernon Forrest) & was Looking for a TUNE-UP to Get Back into the DECISIVE Win Column...

& @ the Time, Margarito was N the Midst of his HIGH Risk-LOW Reward Days...He was Regarded as Cintron's OPPONENT on that Show...

I understand. I don't knock Shane for not fighting him at the time. Hell he is fighting him now when Shane has more disadvantages.

I was replying to his post that Shane would have made a fool out of Margarito back then.

I just don't see that. Especially when he wasn't even ready to fight him.

If Antonio thinks he is just going to walk through Shane, he's making a big mistake.

Shane could win if he had more balls. Shane could counter Margarito all night, but Shane folds under pressure. He could have beaten Cotto too. He just likes being known as a cool guy and a mimbo. Margarito is not all that good. My point was that Cotto was moved amazingly well and Cotto was not as good as many thought. Mosley in your own wqords just "won't do enough to win."

I am willing to bet Margarito on this fight. The Bets and Wagers forum is where we see if that talk is belief or basura. Known welchers and tools need not apply.

If Sugar Shane does have 1 good fight left then he will beat the hell out of Margarito

but i don't think he does

plus he aint injecting himself anymore these days so he won't be getting any extra wind

Mosley doesn't necessarily fold under pressure, he just seems to lose confidence when things aren't going his way regardless if he's going forward or backwards. He gets discouraged fairly easily and you can see it in his face when it happens.

I agree. In fact, it's strange that he does, given his huge amount of toughness and experience.

People severly overrate the so called Mosley face of discouragement. I remember he had the very same look in his fight against Collazo, a fight he was winning rather handily. So just maybe it isn't unconfidence but rather just a look that perhaps means nothing. Besides can we truly deduce Shane is feeling unconfident just because it appears that way from his face?

No, I think Whiskey just meant you can see it in his face in ADDITION to seeing him actually fight discouraged.

Mosley definitely can be discouraged. I guess the good thing is, it often doesn't last long, he can quickly become encouraged again

Yep, I agree. He not only does look discouraged but he fights as such. At some point during the Cotto fight he really had that "I'd rather be home with my wife and kids" look in his face, but he sucked it up and got his groove back, which is commendable.

Co-sign. I was just going to post that. I really thought he was going to quit in the Cotto fight but then he fired back and Cotto looked scared. Their fight was underrated IMO.

Good call. I did not think Shane would be able to perform like this at all.
