A Valero fight is just something Manny is using to pressure Hatton into signing on his terms.

A Pac-Valero fight could be very exciting but let's be real. Nobody knows who Valero is. He won't make even close to the money that he would against Ricky.

I would waste them both inside three rounds. Neither of them can fight at all.

CLEARLY, the DeLa Fight has Went to Manny's Head N a BAD Way...Now he's NOT even Returning Roach's PhoneCalls???:dunno:...

Roach Spelled it Out Perfectly...Take a LOWER Split for Hatton & Make 15 Mil OR Take a HIGHER Split for Valero & Make 2 Mil...Manny's Looking @ % Rather than ACTUAL Dollars...

I think anybody with some amateur experience could. I mean look at some of the things those guys do incorrectly!

One of the guys responding to the article made an interesting point.

Remember when JMM turned down a rematch with Pac because he didn't like the money. He then ended up fighting Chris John for peanuts and losing.

While Pac would never have to settle for 30 grand against anyone, it would be quite the turn of events if he took short money against Valero and lost on top of it..

it's a bit premature for valero to take this fight, but i wouldnt count out his chances of scoring a knockout.

I think Pac is starting to surround himself with all the wrong people and not listening to the people who he should be. Reminds me a bit of the beginning of the end of Tyson.

Pacquiao will regret taking this fight.

He won't, (take the fight) it's just a bargaining tool.

Maybe Arum looks in Judah's direction.

This is the most exciting fight that boxing has to offer by far.

But what kind of bargaining tool is it?

    Valero is anonymous.

  14. whiskey

I know he is and i've already posted the very same thing.

It's not the best bargaining tool, but it is one nonetheless. Why else would his name even be brought up if it wasn't to try to pressure Hatton into signing?

  15. Mitchell Kane

Mitchell Kane WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

He's not only anonymous, he still has licensing problems.

I doubt it's to pressure Hatton. It may be to pressure Pacquiao.

He isn't getting $12 million guaranteed for that fight.

Pacquiao is acting childish in all of this, a 55/45 split is more than reasonable. Hell, a 50/50 is perfect. It's not like Pacquiao has never lost. Both came from loses, and rebounded pretty well. Both still have the prestige. Although, I'd like Valero to get his long due opportunity to step it up.

How can it be to pressure Pacquiao? From the article it sounds like they are the ones bringing his name into the picture.

And besides if a fight with Hatton doesn't materialize i'm sure they can find somebody less dangerous than Valero to fight if they're going to take short money.

  18. Mitchell Kane

What pressure is there on Hatton if Pacquiao signs to fight Valero?

What does Hatton care if Pacquiao's willing to take far less money for a far less significant fight?

Unless Hatton thought Pacquiao was not take any fight other than one with him, what difference does it make who Pacquiao makes less money against?

Arum just signed Valero and he's dropped his name about as much as he did Soto's last year.

If Pacquiao's people are willing to stand on their contract demands and willing to take Valero for less, then perhaps they'll have to.

  19. whiskey

    whiskey Czarcasm

The pressure on Hatton is that there is nobody else he could make that kind of money against so he'd be willing to take a lesser split. But of course i forgot about Oscar.

Just the thought of it makes me fucken sick and it looks like it might happen. :flip::bangh:

I'd be interested in seeing Pac-Valero but i bet that one doesn't happen either. Maybe we'll get Pac-Morales 4 or some shit.

They're both probably looking at taking less money, unless they fight Mayweather (or perhaps DLH)...and Hatton may be more likely to land that than Pacquiao.

Pacquiao would waste Valero in three rounds, unless he truly has that alleged other gear with actual boxing skills, that some people marvel about from his sparring and amateur days. Because what we have seen in his only real fight against Mosquera was that his defense is poor and his chin ain´t much better. If Mosquera´s idiotic fans didn´t throw garbage in the ring, when Valero was hurt, Mosquera might have knocked him out.

  22. joony

    joony "Twinkle Toes" McJack

mosquera is better than that scrub who knocked out pacquiao w/ a jab.

aside from that knockdown, valero beat the living shit outta mosquera.

  23. ElTerriblee

    ElTerriblee "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Pacquiao was never knocked out with a jab. Don´t gimme that Hussein fight here. Torrecampo came from a nuts shot and Singsurat to the body, when he was like 18 or 19 years old.

Besides Mosquera was pretty competitive for five rounds.

  24. joony

    joony "Twinkle Toes" McJack

whether he was knocked or not is up for debate, but what's certain is that he was nearly unconscious from a fucking jab.

valero fought bums who all but one lasted more than a round and stepped up to a fight a world champion.

singsurat hit him w/ the body shot from what i recall, but it didnt matter anyhow, pac was weight drained. i also recall him getting knocked down by some bum soon after he beat ledwaba for the title. none of this matters to you however.

  25. ElTerriblee

    ElTerriblee "Twinkle Toes" McJack

I also saw him get hit by Barrera, Morales and Marquez and not going anywhere. I think Hatton has a good chance to maul and beat Pacquiao at 140, Valero not so much.

Hardcore fans have been pondering how Pacman-Valero would play out since around 2006.

The thought of 2 southpaws fighting is usually dreaded but these 2 southpaw bangers would surely put on a display for the fans. Its a shame Valero is only licensed in Texas.

What's the matter with you?.. he's an asian super-star, and your the only asian fella I've come across that wants him dead, 'KO'd!', 'exposed!' by any means neccesary?,.. :crafty: Have you got that funny 'white-american' desease or somethin' ?.
