Have you ever picked Margarito to win?

Shane is lacking one thing Cotto had and that is power. Margarito will laugh at Shane's "power"

Take a look at the Williams vs Margarito fight again and see what troubled Margarito. It wasn't movement and it wasn't speed. It was a BIG mother fucker raining down non stop punches and even that was almost not enough. I really don't give Mosley much of a chance at all here. Especially considering how bad he just looked against Mayorga.

The thing with those punches from Williams is opponent's can see them. They're not overly fast or particularly great in any area...they're just repetitious.

Mosley is compact and physically strong (though perhaps he is more cautious with what he's taking to get that way given the BALCO controversy)...and I think Margarito responds more to physical strength than speed.

It is interesting you mention Hopkins. The speed difference is obvious...and who knows, if Mosley fights smart and Nazim Richardson has some stink left up his sleeve, maybe he pulls this one out.

I do think it'll be a close fight, perhaps one where Margarito has to make up ground over the last six rounds.

Mosley UD. Shane will dominate Margarito with as much ease as Cotto did for the first 8 rounds or so then Margarito comes on strong late but it wont be enough. Shane was a devastating right hand and it will be interesting to see how Margarito handles it with that type of SPEED. THe punch you dont see is the one that can lay you on your back!

    Marge by decision unfortunately.

REED - the thing is, Mosley has lost his speed significantly. Even more than say, Jones has.

In all honestly, he wasn't significantly faster than Mayo.

He is still going to be CLEARLY faster than marge of course, but his speed is not as big a weapon as it was, he's slowed a lot.

For what it's Worth, Shane Blames his SLUGGISHNESS from the Mayorga Fight on the HIGHER WEIGHT they Fought @ (Mayorga was 10lbs HEAVIER on FightNight, According to Shane), Mayorga's AWKWARD UNpredictability & the Fact that he had BLISTERS on the Bottom of his Feet from the Middle of the Fight Onwards...

Shane even Said his Boxing Shoes were Filled w/BLOOD After the Fight...

This May or May NOT B a Convenient EXCUSE, but if it's the LEAST Bit True that Would HINDER Shane's MOBILITY & the Ability to SIT on his Shots...

REED Asked Shane DIRECTLY, "WHY were U Sluggish N that Fight & What Can U Do to PREVENT it N your Upcoming Bout?" & those were his Answers....

so he is pulling a Pacquiao with this bullshit excuse about his shoes.

besides didn't he had just beat Vargas at that same weight back to back?

I expected Shane to have slowed down even when he fought Mayorga. But not to be gunshy. Mayorga in his prime was predictable now he is damn near shot.

I think Margarito will definately stop Shane in this fight.

REED's just Reporting what Shane Said:dunno:...

The Same Day, REED Asked Margarito if his Chin was God Given...Margarito Said he Thinks it is, he's GLAD that he has a Good Chin, but that he DOESN'T like to Put it to Use as Often has he Does...He Said he's Looking to Showcase his Chin LESS & less...

    FUCK HBO....

They NEVER EVER Asked DeLa about his INFIDELITY & CROSS DRESSING, yet they're Gonna Go OUT of their Way to Ask Sugar Shane Some Uncomfortable Shit???:boohoo:...

Besides that, REED can ALREADY Answer the Question FOR Shane...

"I Don't Know ANYTHING about that. I Already Addressed it Several Years Ago & I Don't have Anything Else to Say about it, Really. I Don't even Know what's Going On, Cause I've been Training" - Shane Mosley

I don't think "INFIDELITY & CROSS DRESSING" had anything to do with DLH as a fighter, or ever had any direct impact - that I'm aware of - on an actual fight.

Maybe HBO will have one of those pre-fight video segments to address the BALCO/steroids situation.

The SCANDAL is the Story, Gatti...It'd B EXTREMELY Irresponsible of HBO to Make it a Point to ATTACK Sugar Shane when they Blatantly CHOSE to IGNORE DeLa's Scandal....

The SCANDAL was the Story More than Anything Else...& Let's NOT Pretend that Everybody Associated w/Balco has been CONFIRMED as a Roid User (YEARS After the Fact, Even the Government HASN'T Found Enough to NAIL Barry Bonds)...

I'm torn on this one. Mosley has always looked best to me as a fighter on the back foot. Unfortunately he's never had brains enough to make this observation himself and has spent his career pushing forward, leaping, hugging and brawling. Tony's a guy who'll take the choice right out of his hands though, and I could see that working to his advantage, big time. If Mosley accepts the role thrust on him I could see him boxing the fucking shit out of Margarito, and unlike Cotto, doing so with the kind of bang on the back foot to keep Tony honest. Whether he'll have enough in the tank at 50 years old or whatever he is, is another thing, and whether he'll be so fucking dumb as to try to occupy the centre of the ring with Tony and end up clinching and getting beat up & possibly stopped is another.

If I had to put money on it'd go with Tony by wide UD, but nothing would surprise me. Good fight!

    The scandal isn't the story.

ESPN has run plenty of stories on the athletes tied to BALCO...that doesn't make them TMZ.
