Carlos, you are starting to sound just like these shit typing punks here who have never laced on a pair of gloves in their life, the kind you used to run out of here with that last post of yours, and I expected bigger things of a man of your esteem.

Hell, these jerks won't even say shit to my face, let alone a professional fighter like Chris, it is just one fucking loss, don't stoop to their level, bro.

You shouldn't bet first of all, especially if you work hard for your money you are just pissing it down the toilet and working for free

Henry will right now destroy Glen Johnson as Glen just walks straight in, and that is why Glen won't fight him, Mack was the only guys with balls enough to ink the contract.

Mack displayed the blueprint on how to beat him last night, but Chris contributed to his gameplan by not keeping his left up and chin down, and not aiming for the torso nearly enough.

You can't win 'em all, shit only two champions have retired unbeaten, Marciano and Calzaghe.

Somebody has always got your number, Galindez, Conteh, Rossman, Mustafa, Saad, Braxton, they were all beaten.

The guy will be back, later on in the year, don't write his fistic obituary just yet.

:bears: Amen! It's definitely unfair to just throw this Henry guy in the crapper and call him a scrub, a bum, a loser...because of one loss.

yes i bet they are just waiting for a guy like Henry...

Maybe Manila or Africa could be an option, like Ali did... that would generate some purses for him... :bears:

Well, Henry failed the test. Its why I said he'd better get Mack out of there, because Yusef's got some pretty quick hands and isn't afraid to wing them.

Still, I didn't expect Henry to lose. It's a shitty loss on national TV. Hopefully he can learn from it, because he's an entertaining fighter. So is Mack to be honest.

in all seriousness henry is a tough guy but he isn't fluid and he has mediocre handspeed at best. not many light heavyweights in "the orient" either

Stinger says he only works with winners :nono:
He looked better in his first loss against Diaconu whos style differs significantly from Mack Attack.

Glen Johnson beats Chris Henry, and that is also a significant step up from Yusaf Mack. That would be a barnburner though.

Take a look at the guys record, he is a very winning fighter.

I already stated in this thread he looked better against Diaconu than he did last night.

There are evidently some very envious posters here, and I am not saying you are one of them, because I am personally involved in pro boxing(and I am not the only one here)but ask yourself what do these posters actually have to do with boxing?

Again; you cannot win them all,if you think a pushing 40 year old smaller Glen can beat Chris at slugging,ok, that is what you think.

Glen is simply a better fighter Karl, a much better fighter, with more experience.

He arguably beat Dawson, forget his age, Glen can fight.

just when u thought this thread has no potential anymore...

Seeing someone who laced them up so completely inept about evaluating fighters and boxing economy really hurts this "you never laced them up, bro" argument...

You lose some you win some. But it's the way he lost. He looked so bad. He had no defense and was constant hitting behind the head. Mack isn't much, but he looked way more polished in there. Seriously, aside from power Henry didn't look to have anything together. I hope it was a bad night and that's it. But he certainly should look for a new trainer.

    OK Carlos, duly noted.

Perhaps another trainer will improve him, but; if you will take a look at this thread, IMO everyone's anger should be directed towards all of the shit typing from people that lack the courage to get into the ring and show Chris how to win a fight, not to the fighter himself who despite losing, fought his heart out to the very end and never stopped trying.

I think you need to read Teddy Roosevelt's "It's not the critic that counts."

    Well, whatever dsimon.

Last year, Chris told me that he thought Carlos was a good boxing man, and that it was an honor to be on fightbeat radio.

And then after losing one motherfucking split decision, Carlos comes on here for all to see and says Chris is a fool and should get a job in a fucking warehouse, and has no business boxing.

That is chicken shit for Carlos to make a statement like that IMO, but it is certainly his right to do so, if that is how he really feels about Chris.

Let's see Carlos step up to Henry on the 28th and tell him that he needs to go work in a warehouse!

It is pretty fucked up that carlos was kissing his ass on the radio show and then says this shit about henry after a bad night.

    Not cool carlos.

If they pay me $75,000 to fight Henry I'll sign the dotted line. I should be the favorite!

Seriously, I respect Henry. He never gave up in there, and that the signs of a true warrior. Maybe it's because I lost some money, that's all.

But again, when you get beat like if you had no business in the ring then it's time for a new trainer. I'm sure with the right coach in Herny's corner he can turn this around. But he reminds me a lot of Samuel Peter with his sloppy power punching to the back of the head. If they focus more on his boxing he can make some noise. But he has a lot to prove to me.

you should be put on Oxygen-arrest pending an investigation into who/what your parents are. Your schtick is tired. And if its not a schtick you should just go away, Chris Henry is basura.

    I didn't see the fight.

How did Mack make it out of the arena?

Wheelchair? Gurney? Ambulance? Did they take him straight to the morgue?

You know Karl it is good for people to know how cavalier it is to take a shot at a guy like Henry...... In all seriousness. My feeling is that all things in life including the square circle are a learning experience and Henry's ability will depend on what he takes from his experiences like everyone else.

Where people get aggravating is where it is obvious they have never felt the punishing pain of what teaches you in the fistic arts. A good shot to the head is a bitch of a teacher.

Having said that good effort on his part, I hope to see him put it together in the future fights.

edit: I knew it was the money for Carlos!!

    Dsimon huh?
I understand that you are a martial arts instructor, correct? So then I presume you have enough faith in your ability to fly down to Houston on the 28th to meet me face to face and tell me all about the 'philosophy' of combat over a nice cold beverage. After that, we'll take a little stroll to the parking lot....just you and me, nobody else.
I assure you after our little get-together that your only method of communication will be through your ass-crack after I've pushed your face through the back of your head.
You can come meet me or forever be branded a 'chicken'.

Stinger, just in case you didn't know, Carlos only likes winners. Since Chris Henry lost, you can't expect Carlos to invite him back to fightbeat radio cause Carlos doesn't invite losers to fightbeat radio.
Once Chris wins a fight, he will be invited back to fightbeat radio. Them's the rules.

I would love to fly down to Houston.... but like Cupey I suffer from "shorter arms"syndrome and frankly last time I flew that length of time it was exhausting on the ole wingspan. Can we meet in Nevade instead? there is a great bar there near area 51 in the middle of nowhere... you can watch the guys in black suits come in and order Pabst drafts.

Be as it may, Gladys. You've assured everybody of your cowardice for not meeting me in Houston on the 28th. I will be there with Chris. As you already know, I've alerted the event security not to intervene when we take a cozy little walk under the bright moonshine and the glittering stars in the night sky. Once our business is settled, we will take our seats and enjoy the rest of the night's fights. Open invitation, Gladys!
Settle your flight details and make your way to Houston on the 28th. I'll be waiting with Chris.
