They have necessary evidence to judge [Margarito and his trainer] according to their rules. I think that my future won’t be affected by this decision. I will continue with my training for February 21 and I’m focused on winning the title against Michel Jennings and bringing another championship to Puerto Rico.â€￾

There is an interesting article about Cotto in today's edition of EL NUEVO DIA. Among other things Cotto has (finally!) expressed feeling angry towards his promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, for defending Antonio Margarito after his licence was revoked for ilegal handwraping during the Mosley fight and (finally!) expressed having doubts about how legitimate was Margarito's victory over him.
Cotto besides his suitcase, is bringing also to New York a verbal bomb directed at his promotional company Top Rank for their support to Antonio Margarito to continue fighting regardless that his licence was revoked.

Cotto: "We are VERY upset. They knew what Margarito was putting inside his handwraps. They are going to find out, verbally, through me, how angry I am with them. It is unforgivable that people attempt and play games with the health of us who get into a ring and how a promotional company like Top Rank give his support (to these people) only because they think about money." Cotto is expecting to tell Bob Arum personally how upset he is about this. Cotto also raised a big question mark about his future relationship with Top Rank Promotions.

Cotto also mentioned that he doesn't think his fans in New York will turn their back on him after his defeat to Margarito. "Everybody saw the fight with Margarito and everybody, including me, understand that the job was done and that it (the fight) was entertaining."
