I go to college with Juan Diaz at University of Houston Downtown. I must say first it's pretty damn cool how down to earth he is. You would think that someone that is as successful as he is would have a ton of hanger ons or at least an attitude, but he seems completely anonymous at school. A really cool guy all around. But I did notice yesterday at school that he seems to really be favoring his leg, almost limping. Kinda stood out to me because the fight is so near. Maybe he just had a really long work out yesterday, dunno, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The whole town is ready to see him go to war with Marquez though!

HOPEFULLY, Juan Did his Roadwork PRIOR to Going to School that Day...Juan's MID 20's Now, So the Day-to-Day GRIND of Being a Professional Athlete will have Guys LIMPING Sometimes:lol:...

Even Though the "College" Angle is Getting Tired from a HYPE Perspective, it's GOOD to Hear that Juan's Still an ACTIVE Student, Even when the Cameras AREN'T Around....LOTS of Athletes "Attend" Schools w/Out Actually Being STUDENTS...Doesn't Sound like Juan's Like That....

Oh yeah, I see him every time I go to school (twice a week). I was actually kinda surprised because this close to such a huge fight you would think he would put it on the backburner, but he is consistantly there. I was amazed at how short he was though. I'm not tall by any stretch and I tower over him. My first thought was "damn he's small" then I remembered how easily he could beat my ass:lol:

REED Saw Juan in Person 1nce @ a Clubshow in Houston, a Few Summers Ago...He Looked THINNER in Person than he Appears on T.V....& Yeah, he IS Short....

Very "Normal" (In a GOOD Way) in Person & Not the Least Bit FULL of Himself....

REED, you think Rocky has a chance to knock off Chris John? I don't know much about John other than he has that zero and apparently beat Marquez with some controversy.

If he does you think they might try to set up Rocky vs. Juan in Houston? It would put butts in seats I'm sure.

I like Diaz. He's a great guy and very down to earth. But that boy has a date with the canvas and Juan Manuel Marquez will be more than happy to send him there.

Diaz can take this semester off because Marquez is going to give him a good schooling.

REED's NEVER Seen Chris John Fight, but U've GOT to B Impressed w/a "W" Over JM Marquez...But REED is like U & HEARD the Win was Controversial...

REED Doesn't Want to See Juan vs. Rocky Unless it Absolutely HAS to Happen...For 1, REED Thinks Rocky is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Tooooooooooo SMALL for Juan...+, Rocky's the ANTITHESIS of a "Volume Puncher", the Polar OPPOSITE of Juan....

BAD Style-Matchup for Juarez...He's SMALLER, he'll B OUTMUSCLED AND OutHustled...Juan will Probably TRIPLE Rocky's PunchRate & DOUBLE his Connect Rate:lol:....

Both Dudes R GOOD For Houston though, which is Why REED WOULDN'T Want to Ever See It....Not Unless 1 of them was Fading Out of the Scene & DESPERATELY Needed 1 Last Decent PayDay....

It Would DEFINITELY Sell Tickets Though...

Marcus has had a String of INACTIVITY...He Fought Twice in 2007 & 3 Times in 2008...Hasn't Fought @ All Since September of 2008...Considering his AGE (23) He Should Have @ Least 3-5 MORE Fights on his Resume (16-0, 13 KO's), N REED's Opinion.....

But he's THE GOODS...REED's Always Thought Marcus Johnson was BETTER than Chris Henry....Certainly More SKILLED & ATHLETIC...
