Decent tourney. The winner would deserve a shot for sure but the winner of Marquez/Diaz should have to have a fight before then.

can't remember the last time chavez was in an 'awesome' fight.

although, i did enjoy watching mayweather and morales beat his ass.

this feels like 2003 when chavez and hernandez were somewhat relevant.

famoshito will lose and weep as usual in the post fight interview.

Ricardo Maldonado won the rights to the fight and that's why it's on the card.

Valero is unlikely to take part in anything further related to this "tournament".

Thats a solid PPV card. Too bad it will do 300,000 buys maximum because there are no superstars on there.

Chavez was one of Mayweathers most exciting fights. He actually did pretty good against the pretty boy.

It depends on who Valero would fight instead.

I wouldn't mind seeing Casamayor-Katsidis II at some point.

his fights are always exciting. check out his fight with Arias. it was a great fight, every round.

and actually, due to his aggression, he was one of a few opponents who actually had an exciting fight with PBF.

he lost his best years as a fighter when he was deported, but he's still managed to have a decent career.

his fight with Carlos Hernandez was good too.

This is PPV? I don't care about any of these fights. All of those bouts are either garbage or irrelevant.

this card would have been good a few years ago. Now most of these guys are shot or close to.

Hernandez and Chavez should fucking stay retired already.

Last time I saw Julio Diaz he quit against Juan Diaz and looked shot as well.

The only rrelevant fighters at Katsidis and Valero. Hell if they fought each other It be a good fight.

    This is a terrible ppv!

Exactly. Mayweather did very little and lost rounds till he realized he could land the uppercuts as Chavez leaned forward, then it was a matter of time. Jesue really fell off after the Leavander Johnson fight.

Sometimes when you think it is going to be a bummy card, it turns out good as the majority of these guys are washed up and will fight hard to get to that one last big purse for their cash out prize.

If he doesn't take that fight, he's supposed to fight Kevin Kelley in April (was scheduled for March and then pushed back).

so basically he should be ready. if he doesn't take the fight he's being foolish. hernandez is made to order and would be an easier fight than kelley

Chavez and Hernandez are shot, has-been fucking BUMS. Honestly, they devalue the tourney's cred a great deal by their inclusion. Basically first round bye's.

For the first round, I agree it's a fight he should take.

But it might be kinda early for Escobedo to be taking on some of the other names in this tournament...if it turns out to actually be a tournament.

If it's one and done against Hernandez, he should take the fight and the exposure.

Escobedo is going to be in some trouble once he gets to round two. Im glad Hernandez got to fight a puncher though. Hopefully he gets forceably retired this time.

    I'll be there, folks.

Sounds like a lot of fun and a boxing excuse to tie one on.

Hopefully, REED, pug, and ringsidemike will be there as well to have a hell of a boxing party in the Capitol.

Nice to see Escobedo added, don't care to see barrios anymore, and escobedo is shady enough to make the match-up interesting
