It's Definitely BALLSY To Take on the Nickname, but it was Given to Yanez in JEST, as a Way of MOCKING him...

Prior to Facing Yanez, a Cuban Fighter by the Name of Yampier Hernandez Kept Hearing about how Good Luis was, so After he BEAT Luis, Hernandez was Apparently UNimpressed, Went Up to him & Said, "U're this 'Latin Legend' I've been Hearing About?"...Then Hernandez Walked Off Laughing....

Yanez Left it Alone til they Met @ the Pan Am Games, so After Luis BEAT Hernandez he Said, "Yeah, I'm YOUR 'Latin Legend' "...Yanez's Trainer is a Real Colorful, Creative Guy & he LIKED the Nickname, so Ever Since Yampier Hernandez 1st Called him "Latin Legend" it STUCK...

I hear you REED, I haven't spoke to Mr. Savannah in awhile, but IMO, Ronnie Shields will be the right trainer for the kid, but as you know, the pros are a completely different story, and Shields has many irons in the fire.

I wish the kid well.

If you two ever have a chance to see how hard this guy works as he is in the gym, in the ring with his guys, and with the pads, IMO you will change your opinion of him.

Shields is in the gym before any of his guys get there, and after they leave, six days a week-you can ask RingsideMike and pug to verify that claim.

He wraps all of their hands, gives all of them direction in shadow boxing, and lives in that gym as he has a sense of selflessness and giving back to the sport.

I am not close and am not a friend of Ronnie's, but I call it as I see it.

The man lives for boxing.

Yanez has REALLY short arms... i wonder if he can have an effective jab with those.

Plus he looks a lil stupid in the face but i guess that won't be a big problem in the ring... ::
