Other than Bunce, there isn't anyone in boxing that I would trash in person. Bunce is the worst kind of idiot.

 

dunno man, that's just kinda the way he is. The entire show is 60 minutes of him running his mouth, these kind of things pop out. And in all honestly I wouldn't be shocked if he had little more than a passing knowledge of who Max is. He's a parochial sort, his expertise is really the local and amateur scene his knowledge of American boxing is far from stellar, frankly.

REED, he IS a bit of idiot, but he has pretty much always been a ball or lair.

He's maybe a bit more lairy now, but even in the hamed days, his character and demeanor were very similar.

Somehow I can't help but like him though, even though he isn't as clued up as he thinks he is.

Bunce is a big mouth and can often be very easy to disagree with....but his enthusiasm for the sport is greater than that of about 20 mainstream boxing reporters put together.....as MWS, aside from boxing, he is also a very funny guy.....he may chat shit but at least it is entertaining....rather than a drawn out drone

He is very influential over here.....currently doing great work at Setanta......at this moment, there is more boxing on tele than i can remember, and Buncey's part in that can't be overlooked.......he hounds the executives at setanta to get as much boxing on as possible

my main gripe with him is that he can be too much of a suck-up when interviewing.....as an interviewer, a little bit of sucking up is necessary....but you have to tone that down a bit when you are on the tele doing it because it is there for all to see

 

btw, Kellerman might not be an idiot but what he is is one of the most aloof people around

 

Decent analogy, actually. Except I suspect, Sugar has forgotten more than Bunce knows. I have to admit, I don't mind Bunce nearly as much as I once did. I certainly don't mind his opinionatedness. It's just that it so often feels like it takes him 2 minutes to say something that should take 15 fucking seconds....and the extra time is usually taken up repeating the same thing in 4 different ways and the cycling of annoying quasi catch phrases like 'lets get it right', 'big boy' etc.

But he's passionate, and I like that in boxing/mma commentators. Something about the commitment involved in the sport seems to make that appropriate where in other sports it's just annoying.

 

Max was Alright in the 20-25 Seconds REED Spent w/him...

Max is an ass! Fool can't pick a winner to save his life! He's just a clown who reads a lot of history books. Won't forget how tight he was on Rahman's cock back in '01 when Rahman was champ for 6 months. And while Rahman was berating Lewis at the press conference leading up to the rematch, Max was laughing his ass off like it was the funniest sh*t he'd ever heard.
Then he shuts the f*ck up up when his newfound hero gets his ass raped! :laughing: Kellerman is a guy who wishes he'd grown up black. Looking at him disrespecting every white fighter who's ever come about, talking sh*t on the Klitschkos every chance he gets while riding the cock of every black dude!
It seems like Max was bullied by white kids in school and happened to make friends with the black kids in the area while growing up.

 

Kellerman has at least 10 times more credibilty than Bunce. And I'm probably being generous to Bunce.

 

I've wanted to see the Bunce boxing hour, but I don't get Setanta.

Max had a really good night on Saturday, I thought. His tiresome 'real, lineal title' bullshit notwithstanding.

 

eh...regardless of his personality, and god knows I don't agree with plenty what he says, but Bunce has been reporting the sport the last 25 years, he's a complete boxing nut who would be very clued up on the british and european scene, and pretty clued up on the international stuff, a fair deal more than kellerman I'd guess, and at least as much as a canadian boxing forum moderator

 

There is a podcast on itunes.....also, it is worth checking youtube....a lot of the segments end up on there pretty quickly

 

yeah i almost came back with something similar, but 'credibility' being such a vague term i let it slip because of Bunce's sucking up routine.......Kellerman doesn't pander so much to the boxers in person (Buncey can be quite brutal in his written stuff)

As far as knowledge, insight, personality.....ie. the guy i'd rather watch/listen to Buncey, without a doubt
