Not a big loss. Lesnar can fight either the winner of tomorrow night's Gonzaga/Carwin bout or Cheick Kongo.
I think this is a huge loss it would have been a great test for Lesnar and a great opportunity for Frank to regain the title.
Junior Dos Santos! He can save the card against Lesnar. He just KTFO his last 2 UFC opponents Fabricio Werdum and Stefan Struve in the first round with punches. If he lands one of those on Lesnar, he can split him open. Plus he's a BJJ black belt and a world class kickboxer (18-0). He's a huge dude, 6-4, 240lbs. I think he's a good choice for Lesnar. He may just shock the world! Remember that wicked uppercut that wiped out Werdum? :kidcool: Santos should get the shot against Lesnar!!!! Go Santos!!!!!
I think so i was really looking forward to the Lesnar-Mir fight. Mir is the only guy currently in the UFC who can beat Brock.
Gimme a f*ckin' break! :: Lesnar hasn't done sh*t yet other than beat that turkey Heath Herring and a 45 year old inactive undersized Randy Couture who was giving Lesnar a hell of a fight. Don't go swinging on Lesnar's nuts that quickly. He hasn't even come close to fighting a prime top rung fighter yet. The one time he did, he got his leg almost snapped off and tapped out. Even though before that leg submission, Lesnar almost got caught twice by several other subs from Mir but managed to slip out of them. I say make Lesnar vs Dos Santos NOW!
I wouldn't say he is the only guy but I think he will beat Lesnar again. We haven;t seen how Brock reacts after eating some decent shots. Brock is good but not that good. Mir will make him tap...... eventually.
I don't think they'll find a fill in for Mir if he's gonna be back in 6 weeks. They'll just push the fight off to UFC 100. TFK
What about all the rehabilitation and training he'll have to do after surgery? He could be out for half a year. I definitely think they need to put in an alternate for Lesnar. And they do have Kongo and Dos Santos available. Hell if the UFC has some balls and actually considers hiring some new guys to help fill out their roster, I hear Alistair Overeem is willing to fight in their heavyweight division. The UFC is a f*ckin' joke thanks to that dipsh*t Dana White. His method of doing business is questionable. Hell why not get Fedor in there since he's said he's more than willing to take on Lesnar in the UFC cage? Affliction is happy to do business with the UFC. There's no reason why they can't find a viable opponent for Lesnar. Hell they could've put Fabricio Werdum in there with him. Their roster is a joke, premier MMA league my f*ckin' ass! All the best fighters are fighting in other leagues.
If it takes him a year to come back, he is a bitch. I dont think UFC is a joke and i like what Dana has done. He is meeting with Fedor in June so just hold your horses son.
Your excuse for Randy losing to Brock is that he is undersized. Everybody in the UFC is undersized compared to Brock. There is no prime top rung fighter in the UFC heavyweight division except for Mir right now. None of them bums are beating a monster like Brock Lesnar.
You're right, Dana White has been terrible for the UFC. They're in such bad shape now and were much more succesful before he arrived. Seriously, keep your moronic trolling to a minimum. It just makes you look like an idiot. TFK
I honestly don't think the HW division is nowhere near as bad as everyone tries to make it out to be. Shane Carwin and Junior Dos Santos are two rising studs with great backgrounds as well as size and power. Kongo is still a huge question mark. The guy has size and strength but his skill is the question. If Overeem signs on board he will just add more to the pot. The fight with Randy and Nog is a good one. Sure they are both past it, but its still going to be entertaining, the winner would be a perfect fight to make with Cro Cop for his last fight. IMO, I think White and Fedor get something done soon. I might be smelling the roses and just hoping, but I have a hunch Dana wants him much more than he lets on. And of course we have Lesnar and Mir. Now that isn't what I'd call a "deep" division, but it is definitely not as shallow as we thought a year ago. Hanzy, I don't care for White, but to say he hasn't been good for the UFC is foolish and you know it.
The reason the world's best fighters aren't fighting in the UFC is because Dana White is a f*ckin' criminal and a piece of sh*t. What he did for the UFC is worthy of applause, although the truth is they were lucky as f*ck that their reality show took off otherwise they'd have been dead already. Go read up on the comments from most of the fighters. Nobody likes or respects Dana White. A guy who openly disrespects his own employees and talks sh*t of other fighters he's never met. This guy makes Vince McMahon look like a saint. He's so terrified of any kind of competition. We can keep hanging on Dana White's balls and worshipping him for everything he's done....or we can take a step forward and hope that somebody will try to expand the SPORT of MMA by creating more competition. The only thing Dana White gives a f*ck about is his own bank account. He doesn't give a crap about MMA as a sport. And he doesn't care if his fighters live or die once they're no longer employees for his company. Go read up on some of the sh*t posted by Couture, Sylvia, John McCarthy, Huerta, etc regarding the UFC.
I made it as far as 'the world's best fighters aren't fighting in the UFC', before I stopped reading. I figure if you can start off with something that moronic, reading the rest would just be a waste of time. Check out any MMA website's top 10 P4P and at least 7 of them are UFC fighters, and more if you want to count Miguel Torres in the WEC. TFK
agreed, thats an old and tierd arguement. With the buyout of Pride, the worlds greatest fighters are in the UFC. No doubt about it. Don't get me wrong, I love what Strikeforce is trying to do, and they are definitely the model of doing things right for a promotion. But the UFC isn't going anywhere.
