Who wins? I'd take Ortiz by late TKO. Anybody who's seen enough of Carlos' fights would agree.

I'm sure Double will pick Castillo however.

Too much of everything for Castillo, just all around better, enough said.

Ortiz just way, way, way too smart for Castillo. He wouldnt do any of the things Castillo likes his opponents to do, he wouldnt be there long enough on the inside, he wouldnt try to fight off the ropes... he'd keep it at ring center, work the jab and then occasionaly surprise Castillo with aggression, beating him to the punch with his quicker hands and then backing off and going back into countering mode before Castillo can get anything going

Ortiz by very comfortable and wide decision

    If anything, Ortiz is UNDERrated

I would venture most of the guys on this site have barely heard of him!

I cant lie... I hadnt seen any fights of him until about maybe 2 years ago. I'm about to watch his fight with Battling Torres right now.

He was an excellent boxer/puncher. Not great at any ONE thing, but very good at EVERYTHING.

If he was around today, he'd definitely clean house at 135.

yes, very versatile and SMART, very smart

If Ortiz had a big flaw it was that he didnt always train hard. but at his best, he was a tremendous fighter

And Castillo only would have lost because he was suffering from tendonitis, bronchitis, and post-nasal drip.
