Probably true. Although losing two fights to a guy with bricks in his hands doesn't necessarily mean you're mentally weak. Cintron fought through plenty of adversity in his last fight despite going down.

I'm not so sure that you can write Cintron off because he lost to a guy who was hitting him with loaded gloves. That sort of changes the equation, wouldn't you say?

I think he showed plenty of guts not only in his last fight, but also against Estrada and Feliciano. And we know from the Mathysse fight that he definitely has power.

He might have been lucky to get a draw in his last fight, but given his opponent's stinky style, I wasn't all that surprised.

Plus, wasn't that fight at 154? As far as I know, Cintron hasn't declared any intentions of abandoning 147. Now the Mr. Brick-hands has been exposed, who knows what Cintron can accomplish at 147?

I think he'd be a very tough fight for either Cotto or Mosley. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Julio? You're probably right about him. His only claim to fame was having his nuts massaged by Jim Lampley on the air following one of his off the air undercard fights.

Cintron lacks mental character Double, no matter what you say. He gets visibly discouraged, and shaken whenever someone can take his shots, and give back. He also starts complaining to the ref every 5 seconds, which is another sign of being weak mentally. Doesnt matter if he fights at 47, or 54... he wont be a top fighter at either weight.

Mosley would tear Kermit a new asshole. Cintron is barely any quicker than Marg.. Mosley would easily beat him to the punch, rape his body... and Shane has the chin to take Kerm's shots. He'd have an OUTSIDE chance against Cotto, but very slim. Cotto would bust him up, and Cintron would fold up again.

I dunno why you're such a believer in Cintron. He's simply a good fighter, nothing more. He's not elite, nor will he ever beat an elite fighter.

All I said is it's not fair to write him off because he buckled under the pain of being hit with bricks.

His mental state in the ring is easily readable, but you think the average fighter doesn't get frustrated when their opponent isn't hurt after he's landed his best shot?

And I disagree that he's not faster than Margarito. Did you see the Mathysse fight? It was one of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen and it was NOT executed with the use of slow hands.

Again, all I'm saying is, don't write him off.

    Somewhat agREED...

When U COMPARE Cintron's Win Over Mathhhhhhhhysse to Paul Williams', it's Hard to COMPLETELY Write Cintron Off just Yet...He's STILL Capable of Beating 1 or 2 Guys that Most Would Expect him to LOSE to....

Hmmm.... the only one of those guys who I see Cintron possibly beating is Berto. Actually he'd have an EXCELLENT chance vs Berto. I see him getting clearly outboxed by Collazo, and Quintana... and I'd be pretty surprised to see him beat Kirkland.

I think on BALLS alone.... Kirkland would run Kermit the frog outta the ring.

On BALLS alone, Ann Wolfe would beat him.

I think Kerm would land some big punches early on Kirkland, which would shake up and maybe even hurt Kirkland... but I see James continuing to come forward and throw heat. I see him busting up the frog as the fight goes on, and Cintron folding up and quitting like he did in the first Marg fight.

Thats still not to say I think Kirkland is anything great... but I'm pretty confident bout him beating Cintron.

    No I wouldn't.

I actually liked her as a fighter, and like the way she handles Kirkland as a trainer.

That doesn't change the fact she'd out-BALL Cintron.

Im not sold on Andrew Wolfe as a legitimate trainer. That said, the guy was nothing but a warrior in the ring.

Believe it or Not, Ann Wolfe's Actually a SWEETHEART N Person...A MANLY, MUSCELBOUND, LESBIAN "Sweetheart" that'd Beat the Living Shit Out of the Average Male, but a Sweetheart Nonetheless...

I saw her working Kirkland out last week in Oakland before the fights and I tend to agree.

It seems like she has a really good rapport with Kirkland in the gym.

Her method may not work for a lot of fighters, but I think it works for Kirkland.

Ann might not be a good boxing trainer..though i think she might be good at getting guys reading physically/mentally/psychologically for awaits them in the ring.....

IMO she might make weak hearten guys better...

ithought her advice between rounds was right on the money - she knew julio was trying to set up the right-hand, she encouraged him to jab, and when he was failing to counter, she told him to raise his hands.
