Yup. Her character was a nutcase. She could cope with infidelity, but not with lying about smoking cigarrettes.

You should had sticked to the prior prediction.

WATCHMEN (2009) has to be the most faithful adaptation of a graphic novel or comicbook ever. It is scene by scene, frame by frame the same Alan Moore comic book story. That is its forte and its greatest weakness since not everything was perfect or worked well in the original source and the same happens with the film. One aspect where the film is better: the whole 'story within a story' Tales of the Black Freighter crap which IMO was completely out of place in the graphic novel, has been wisely removed from the film version and will be available on DVD for those of you who loved it. As mentioned before by other people, Rorschach is the most interesting character with the strongest performance in the film by Jackie Earle Haley. Best line of the film, 'You don't get it! I am not locked here with you, YOU are locked here with ME!' The few action scenes are highly entertaining, the violence is extremely graphic in the Rorschach scenes, the sex scene is strangely from the same camera angle as in the comic book which means there wasn't much to see and the plot change at the end was acceptable and more credible than the 'exploding alien squid' from the comicbook. One thing I noted while watching the film at my local mutiplex cinema: families with small children came to watch the film only to leave miway through the film because they couldn't stand the graphic violence, the constant verbal profanity and the nude and sex scenes. Maybe these people forgot to check that this film is rated "R" and it was not another family friendly X-Men movie.

In a nutshell: this 2 hours 43 film went like a breeze for me. Enjoyed it a lot and want to watch it again. It is not perfect... but is close. 9/10

The only explanation is her character's father died of lung cancer, she doesnt want to see her husband ended up like that.

Watchmen-awesome. For it to be as good as the book, it would have to be 7-8 hours long, but overall it is a great movie. :bears::bears::bears:

Osfan loves blood and gore, so the flashback scene with Rorschach dealing with the kidnapper and his dogs as well as in the prison where Rorschach dealt with mini-me and his 2 goons are my favourites.

Max Payne was incomplete for me too. Not because I fell asleep though, but because me and 2 other friends I was watching it with all voted unanimously to stop the vile fucking film and watch something else.

Saw this yesterday on an IMAX screen. Was a bit disappointed because apparently the IMAX screens they've been putting up lately are far from being the traditional IMAX screen you're used to. Only a slight curve and not nearly as large as other IMAX screens I've been to.

Hadn't read the graphic novel before. Great concept, good movie to me. The wife had convinced me to take a Hydrocodone beforehand because my elbow was bothering me so my senses were a bit dulled. Some parts in the middle dragged a bit for me and I found myself dozing off a bit. Whether it was the drugs or actually the case I'll have to watch it again at a later date.

The wife and my 14 year-old both liked the movie quite a bit...............yes, I'm a bad dad. :nono:

My favorite part of the movie was actually the opening montage with the Bob Dylan song, got me really hyped up for what was to come. The ending was also good and more satisfying then I expected.

I wasn't expecting much but it was pretty funny shit. It was produced by Judd Apatow so I can see the raunchy and scandalous humor. :bears:

    Dead Birds

    7/10

About a group of Ex Confederate Bank robbers who take refuge at an Alabama mansion for a night after they pulled a deadly bank robbery. The house, being haunted by it's former residents, who's master was involved with the occult. Definatley a pretty good movie. Much better than it's IMDB rating. Great cast, good plot and that the movie took place in the 1860's,made it even better than expected. Would advise watching it in HD (it is always on many of the Showtime HD channels pretty often).

The only downer for me was,I have no idea if this took place during or after the Civil War?:bangh:

one thing that has to be said about watchmen - it was extremely derivative. almost every piece of music in the movie had already famously been used in a different movie - valkyries in the vietnam sequence, bod dylan, hendrix all along the watchtower, garfunkel sound of silence, even the luftballons was notably used i think when minnie driver discovers that cusack is an assassin in grosse point blank.

in part yeah this 'homage', and the movie's got a general "postmodern" character. but it just crossed the line into unimaginativeness for me.

i agree with buddy that rorschach was a genuinely good performance.

TWILIGHT Teenager girl falls in lovev with teenager vampire boy. The end. There is not much to it except when the 'bad vampire'- tracker James decides Bella (the human girl) must be snack and that happens near the end of the film. My wife is hooked on the books, but she didn't like it either. 6/10

BRICK LANE or how devout muslims commit adultery in London. This was a decent film about this teenager indian muslim girl from a poor village in Bangladesh enters a loveless arranged marriage with an 'educated' middleage man from London only to live a miserable life in a british ghetto. After many years living as a semi-servant, bored housewife, one day this young handsome activist muslim guy comes knocking at her door. Slowly but surely they fall in love and get laid faster than you can kneel and bow toward Mecca. The acting is very good and the situations within her family are interesting. Husband will find out sooner or later so she needs to make decision. Like I said this a very good drama and had no Bollywood dance anywhere:bears: 8/10
