The guy has no chin even with the beard. If he boxed, he'd have to shave it. He'd get wobbled with the first jab that landed on his chin.
I think he might do ok in those things. You get enough experience and just maybe you can successfully box 4-rounders against Butterbean's leftovers.

Actually I don't! Steve Dave is a tall, gangly, somewhat-unmarketable, fragile thing and I'd like to see him in against someone like, maybe Hegman first, before I'd throw him in with the likes of Kimbo. His current lack of brain damage is what keeps these forums going.

No not exactly, but in order to be more marketable he'd have to be more of a villain. Basically a real jerk that people want to see lose. At least to start out. The over hyped "honest hard working white guy" is played out. He would need a bit more arrogance and asshole to him. I'd match him with obviously overmatched and more importantly undersized guys.
