Looks like Antonio Diaz held on for a close decision against Javier Castro, he even managed to work the ref into a point deduction for low blows. I hate holding. 95-94, 96-93 (2x) Antonio Diaz.
Montiel just had a nice practice for a Darchinyan fight as he kept dropping Silva with counter lefthooks, when Silva lunged in. Montiel wins the WBO interim title by 3rd round KO.
Hearns Jr. a bit hurt in the 3rd round, but he looks like´s actually interested in becoming a better fighter. Chavez still looking like crap, like he´s not interested.
It looks like Anthony Dirrel and Bowie Tupou had first round knockouts on the Shobox undercard...Showtime show highlights of either?
That Yorgey is one dumb mofo. He´ll lose a decision and cry afterwards, although it looks like he could hit Hearns at will.
I wonder why every club fighter that gets a huge opportunity to shine on national television fights like a fag cruising to a decision, when he could score a decisive KO victory, last night Chambers, today Yorgey.
Only El Terriblee is watching the Chavez Jr fight. No one else gives a damn about that overly protected kid.::
Yeah, because I bet the under, and now I hope he gets his shit kicked in by Arthur Abraham or Kelly Pavlik. But I also had the under on Soto and Montiel, the real fighters on the card.
I feel a bit bad for Hearns Jr., who obviously works on his game seriously, but he just can´t pick up his defense as a late starter, and when your chin is that bad at the same time, you´ll get KTFO. That´s the one asset Chavez Jr. has and that will carry him through a lot of fights, till he steps up to some real good fighters. Guess in this case, both juniors really have their fathers beard. ::
Always liked Soto. Too bad the JMM's and Pacquaio's left him in the superfeather division. He would have matched up well with those guys for an exciting fight.
As soon as this Jr kid steps it up he's getting Ko'd! I havent seen any fighter in recent times thats been protected and milked lIke Chavez Jr.
I don't think that's fair to Tommy. Hearns Jr. would have ended up in the 5th row by the 30 second mark of the 1st round against Hagler.
we have stinky Guzman to thank for derailing Soto. although i thought that fight could've gone either way, Guzman's patented stink once again convinced the judges.
I agree with you doubleL, Guzman is a stinky boring ass fighter. I dunno what people see in him. I'd rather see corey stinks or sven ottke.
