Although now that I am thinking about it...I think if Lewis had beaten Tyson...we most likely never would have seen Holyfield -Tyson and if we did...it would not have been for a title...it would have been more of a "loser should retire" type match with Holy coming off the loss to Bowe (and so-so peformance against Czyz) and Tyson coming off a loss to Lewis

So I guess it's kind of a trade-off.

 

If Wlad fought Tommy Morrison in place of Touch of Sleep Williamson, it's lights out. ::

 

Lewis/Bowe was the crappier situation.

 

Morrison could definitley punch and he had fast hands

Actually...Morrison's loss to Mercer and Wlad's to Brewster are quite similar. Both started fast won the early rounds and then started to gas out, totally fell apart and were stopped.

Yep. I don't know that he is the greatest ever. But I'm pretty sure he is #1 among heavies in the "Least amount of love from Boxing fans compared to his career accomplishments".

Although...I suspect, like Larry Holmes, Lewis will grow in boxing fans eyes as the year go by and the sting of him beating Holyfield and Tyson lessens to their respective fans. ::

I would also mention Bowe (for chickening out), but I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any fans. For the life of me...I can't recall ever meeting a Bowe fan.
