Seriously they quit after the 7th round? They could that have gotten the fight stopped and to go to the scorecards because of the cut, if they argued he can´t see. And if they did it in the 5th round, he might have won. What a bunch of idiots. That is the worst corner work I have ever seen.

Did it look like Hernandez close to getting stopped after the knockdowns?

It was pretty close. It was a very, very exciting fight.

The entire show was really good.

if escobedo struggled with that stiff then its an indictment on his career.

Well, from what I've seen of him up to now, I've lowered my expectations for his career considerably (though I never quite saw what led to the ultra-hype was about early on before the Jimenez loss, of couse maybe the only thing "they" were seeing were his press releases and the promoter's name)...and come to the conclusion that he's just not going to win a whole lot of pretty decisions in his career.

He's gonna have to fight and win ugly, because he is flawed, and I don't think it matters who his trainer is (Beristain, Roach, etc.), but he's stil got some power and he seems to have real toughness.

He'll be fun to watch, even if he won't be great.

Who looks good against Fagoso? Seriously, the dude is a professional spoiler, even when losing fights big. He's dirty and knows how to pull you into that kind of a fight.

That Escobedo actually beat him at his own fight is a good thing. That he looked bothered and hurt more than once by Hernandnez is another thing altogether.

    Great card btw.
