Bradley won the fight, the scores were legit. He´s the better fighter. If we can´t call him that, there is no point in fighting. You can be more talented, drop the other fighter three times and still lose a legit decision. It happened to Sam Peter. :boohoo:
This WASN'T Peter-Klitschko, but Thanks for Pulling an ILL-Fitting Analogy Out of your Ass...As if ALL Holt Did was Drop Bradley... REED:boohoo:
Holt DID Get Outworked Tonight...Bradley's BEST Work was Probably to the Body...Holt Dropped Bradley Twice, Made his Eye's Roll on the 1st Knockdown & Landed STIFF, HeadSnapping Jabs, he just DIDN'T Throw them Frequently Enough... To DEFINITIVELY Say that Bradley is "Better" Suggests that Holt would have NO CHANCE of Winning a RE, which is Bullshit...Hell,Holt's Chin SUCKS, yet All Bradley Got his Attention w/were BODYblows... REED:hammert:
REED C'mon, that is all Holt did. :: Bradley is a very good little fighter. Not great but a solid Stevie Johnston type guy.
Is REED THE ONLY Guy that Saw Holt JOLT Bradley w/No Fewer than 20 HARD Jabs???...He HURT Bradley More than just on the Knockdowns...Look, Holt LOST the Fight...But it's NOT Like he was Getting his Ass Kicked Aside from when he Knocked Bradley Down... Sorry, but REED WAS NOT Impressed by Tim Bradley Tonight.... REED:dunno:
Bradley impressed me for the simple reason that I don't think there are a handful of guys in the world that get launched across the ring by a left hook like that and manage to get up with their senses together. Add to that the fact that Bradley didn't retreat or get conservative and it's pretty damn impressive. The decision was close. It deserved to be close. The right guy got the nod.
Bradley was clearly the better guy, probably won 10-2, 9-3, not only is there no argument to be made that Holt won, you'd be an idiot to pick him in a rematch. Bradley was just better.
Oh boy, here we go. Both guys look unmpressive in a unification bout, despite 2 knockdowns and an effective jab by one guy and strong recovery with high workrate and bodypunching for 10 of the rounds by the other guy. Not every fighter can pull a RJJ shutout, ya know.
To say a better fighter has no chance of losing is bullshit... It happens a lot. Bradley was the better man yesterday, that's why he won and you don't even argue that. Holt will only have the chance of KOing a fighter like Bradley as long as he doesn't UP his workrate.
To Holt's credit, despite knocking Bradley down twice he never claimed he was robbed at the end of the fight and blamed himself for losing the decision.
I think that is unfair....he had Bradley down twice, so a knockout isn't inconceivable. Of the two fighters, Holt was the one who could have done a lot better. When he was using the jab he was controlling things, but for some reason he stopped throwing it. He lost his focus a lot....he complained far too often and just spent too long not doing enough. But he showed enough to suggest that a rematch would be a pick'em. I was surprised how well he took Bradley's head shots....guess it shows how a big puncher Torres really is.
Had Bradley stayed onconcious on the canvas for 6 minutes after that left hook like about 95% of other fighters WOULD have.. right now everyone would be calling it "KO of the year". That punch was devastating and landed perfectly.. instead Bradley popped up 1/2 second later like nothing happened, and went on to beat Holt up, made him turn into a bitch, turning his back several times in the fight and then BEAT him on the back.. much to the approval of the ref who didn't by into Holt's crap. Bradley's performance was impressive in itself.. but I tend to agree with Reed somewhat in that his overall stock may have dipped slightly due to the pre-existing theories about Bradley that were further re-enforced last night. Nevertheless the win should bring him into some big name fights and better paydays.
Who's the REAL Idiot Here???...The Guy that Gives Holt a GOOD Chance of Winning a RE or the Guy that Called Bradley "Diarrhea" Prior to the Fight???... REED:boohoo:
Precisely... If Anyone can IMPROVE Upon Last Nights Performance, it's Holt...Against Bradley, Holt can AFFORD to Trust his Chin a Little Bit More (Not Recklessly, Mind U) N an Effort to Make Bradley Fight Going BACKWARDS... If Holt Fought a Tad More AGGRESSIVELY (Which he IS Capable of Doing), he Might have Gotten Bradley Out of there... REED:hammert:
first time I saw holt I knew he had a shitload of talent. he's one of those guys you always think can or should do more. he will always let you down because he'll never put it all together. he is what he is
I thought Holt won, despite his best efforts to give it away. And I also think he's probably the most technically impressive fighter I've seen for YEARS. The guy has every technical attribute you could hope for in a fighter, relaxed in there, angles & range, with imagination in his punch picking, quality operator. But he seems to box like he thinks he's in the gym sparring. The most commitment he showed all night was at the end when they were reading out the scores. I was surprised to see that he cared that much after watching him practically sleep walk through 12 rounds.
If you notice in the thread, I corrected my prediction prior to fight time. Despite Bradley being Diarrhea, he's still good enough to beat the Kendall Holt's of the world.
Holt cannot land a much better punch than he did in round one and Bradley wasn´t even hurt. Holt will never force an accumulation stoppage, so I don´t know how he could win the fight by stoppage. Besides Bradley did hurt Holt to the body in the middle rounds, another reason why Holt fought so tentatively. Holt will never put it all together, that is who he is.
the moment in the fight was Bradley getting up at 0, from what was the best punch Holt can expect to land. He's wasn't remotely hurt, which was quite impressive, and he bounced back and took control. It was a good win against a guy who is a bonafide clubfighter, so idk about Bradley going forward
The Deal w/Holt is that he KNOWS he Can't Trust his Chin...But Last Night, it Got to the Point where even Holt COULD'VE Afforded to ATTACK Bradley More, Because it was APPARENT that Bradley Couldn't Hurt him... REED:hammert:
So Bradley WASN'T "Hurt" Now???::...So when a Guys Eyes ROLL into the Back of his Head from a Shot & he FREEFALLS, he's NOT Hurt...No Doubt, MOST of Ya'll R Focusing on how QUICKLY Bradley Rose, but B COMPLETE N your Assessment... YES, Bradley Rose IMMEDIATELY, then he SHAKILY Made his Way to the Corner & TOOK a Knee...He DIDN'T Take the Knee Cause it LOOKS Good, he Took the Knee to INSURE that his Legs were THERE...& if Bradley had ANY Doubts about his Legs, it's Because he KNEW He was HURT... U DON'T have to Lay Flat on your Back or even TASTE the Canvas to B Hurt...Make NO Mistake, Tim Bradley WAS Hurt Last Night & he even ADMITTED it N the Post-Fight Interview.... & to a LESSER Degree, Bradley was Hurt on the Last Knockdown...When he Rose, he was CONTENT w/Waiting Out the Remainder of the Round... REED:kidcool:
Most Likely...Good Enough to TEASE U w/his Potential, but Lacking the SUBSTANCE to Ever Truely Fulfill it.... Just like Zab... REED:hammert:
