interesting, prescott looked good and aggressive against khan. He can do the same to Valero unless he gets licked first.
Outside of the destruction of Khan, i haven't been impressed with Prescott...he's very slow. But like Khan did, Valero will come straight at him. Has Valero been in with as big a puncher as Prescott. Prescott is a tall lightweight. The way Valero comes in, hands low and chin in the air...it could be the night that his bubble is burst.....i don't think it will be....he's quicker than Prescott, who himself hasn't really been tested.....what Khan did was suicidal, it didn't prove an awful lot in terms of how good this guy really it, but it did show that if you come at this guy, then he is dangerous....should be a fun fight....July 25th is a long way away though
Everyone knows damn well Prescott was brought in as fodder for Khan. Too bad for Khan he has a china chin. Valero will show Khan how it's done.
Prescott is a fucking BIG lightweight. Khan is a very big LW himself, probably closer to a natural 140/147 pounder, and Prescott looked at least as big as Khan. Unless Prescott has a glass chin, he has a good shot at smashing Valero. He is fairly slow, but not that much slower than Edwina, who is hardly a speed demon himself. He's not without skill either. If he was a slow, skill-less bum he wouldn't have been able to tag Khan as easily as he did. They were well timed, well placed shots.
Having not seen much of Prescott, I can't imagine they put him in with Khan thinking he was any good. Khan's chin is BAD, real bad.

Prescott doesn't suck. He's not a great fighter, but not a complete bum either. And he can punch. I don't see how you can say Prescott sucks but not Valero? Edwin looks like more of a sloppy bum than Prescott.

And just on a side note, no one can yet prove that Margarito has even USED anything in his gloves for any of his fights...he had it once they caught it, he didn't fight with it...you can't prove any other fight...so until they can, no one should say shit...
make no mistake, if prescott catches valero the same way as khan it would be the same result. khan fought a stupid fight, if valero has any sense he would have watched that and knows what NOT to do. regardless of the result khan still beats valero
Dude the fight before he made Cotto's head look like a pumpkin, he completely destroyed his face. Explain me why, all of sudden, Margarito felt the need to use a blood stained (explain me why there was a blood stain while you're at it if he never did it before) piece of plaster against Mosley. He was a pretty big favourite to beat Mosley and the guy he had just destroyed had beaten him just a few months ago. Of course there's no evidence and I don't think we'll ever get some, but using my head I have a very hard time believing it was the first time and he was unlucky enough to get caught AFTER his wraps had been signed by the commission. Your first point remains though, MWS never said Margarito was a cheater before he got caught.
Very good point. And I am not exactly ruling it out of course, it seems all too shady for me...but like I said no evidence, and thats all we should really look at, because for all we know he did do it before but we don't know who against, so we have all these fans and all the fighters sayin how brutally beatin they were and how they never felt power like that blah blah blah all because of the scandal now, why weren't they sayin this before? And yeah Cotto's face was a mess, but there have been many fighters who have been busted up waaay worse than Cotto, and I doubt those fighters had anything in their gloves...so pure speculation on that honestly. But I don't exactly disagree...
Valero gets a lot of hype from knocking out a bunch of bums.. I really haven't been all that impressed with him.. I think this is a toss up fight.. Prescotts one round blitzing over Khan is better then anybody Valero has beaten..

Mosquera is better than Khan. So hes beat 1 guy better at least. Not to mention he will ice Khans daddy in 2 Months time.
I don't agree.. Mosquera might be the only semi decent fighter Valero has beaten but he he not as talented or as good as Khan.. Mosquera would off course have a punchers chance in a fight against Khan but in my opinion would lose an easy decision or get stopped late..
I think we all know the 2 I am talking about... And at least when Valero has stepped up he didn't get stopped in one round against the only decent fighter he has faced. And don't bring up Barrera, Barrera is completely washed up, though I still favored him to beat Khan... Khan is a very talented fighter, good power great speed, I just don't have faith in the guy, especially against a guy with great power, stamina and heart... It doesn't stack well. I hope he proves me wrong, we could use a new face... I just don't like his chances.
