Dude was CLEARLY GASSED (He's Got that STRANGE, UNexplainable, DelaESQUE Trait of ALWAYS Getting Winded, Whether he's IN SHAPE or Not), yet he Sucked it Up & TRADED w/Froch in the 11th...Taylor LITERALLY Shot his Load N the 11th...& he BRAVELY Took a HELLACIOUS Ass Whipping in the 12th...Bottom Line, Jermain Taylor is a WARRIOR who ISN'T the Least Bit Afraid of Going Out On his Proverbial SHIELD...

REED Can't Say he's Ever Really ROOTED for the Guy, but it's Hard NOT to Like Jermain Taylor, Personally...Dude Made some NICE Money, had a SOLID (if UNspectacular) Career & has Absolutely NATHAN to B Ashamed Of...He Put the State of Arkansas on the "Boxing Map" & he's ALWAYS CLASSY, Win, Lose or Draw...

Its do-able.... but he wont. Taylor is such a bad finisher, he makes Andrew Golota look like Ray Leonard in the finishing deparment.

i admit, i did root for taylor pull this through. but he is what he is, a good athletic fighter w/ limited skills. he simply couldnt capitalize on all the openings (and they were plenty) and seems to have stamina issues given the pressure.

w/ that said, i'd like to see winky vs. taylor II.

For a Guy that CLEARLY has the Power to HURT his Opponents, Taylor is an AWFUL Finisher...Shit, Taylor has TWICE the Power of Pernell Whittaker, yet on the RARE Occasions when Sweet Pea HURT a Guy he Got them OUT of there....

I too obviously feel sad for Jermaine, he's a sincere person and I dont believe, particularly on this occasion, that it was all about the money, he said as such in several interviews leading up to the fight that his sole ambition was to become champion again and represent little rock Arkansas,..It's a pity that a good person like him, is not able to achieve his goals,...especially against such an obnoxious cocky snake like Carl Froch....
I believe he trained hard, put in all the work, only to be hit with that same ultra frustrating mental block that I'm sure has been present with him his entire life in various ways. I dont care about being laughed at for having exuberant confidence believing that he would shine tonight,... My frame of mind is with Jermaine at this moment,..and I hope he concerntrates on the happier elements in his life,... I also dont think it would be wise for him,.. to persue boxing anymore... his mind and stamina work against one another and it depletes him to an incompetant physical level.... Froch is as poor a 'world champion' as any.. and this loss should inform Jermaine to abandon a vain ambition that will only lead to further dissapointment in the future, he doesn't deserve it.

I dont find Froch to be an obnoxious person. HAMED was an obnoxious little turd who compared himself to Ali... Froch is just a cocky, confident... yet very sincere and honest guy. You could tell in the post-fight interview that underneath the arrgoance... he's a good, classy guy.

To me... theres nothing wrong with being a little cocky if you back it up... and so far in Froch's career... he's backed it up. I dont find him overly cocky though.... just very confident, and I like that.

 

He's Such a BAD Finisher, the Motherfucker Probably CAN'T even CLIMAX During Sex...

Bullshit. He's the same fighter now that he was vs Pavlik. The guy is simply just not very good. He was born with all the tools... but no brains in the ring.

 

This is visibly not true. He lost once, and has looked terrible since. He at least tried against guys before Pavlik took his soul.

I thought tonight's performance was disgraceful.

 

No heart, no resilience and ordinary stamina.

Couple that with a trainer and corner that just can't seem to reach or motivate him.

Damn shame because the guy has alot of raw skills and athletic ability.

But how many fighters throughout the years can you say THAT about?

 

Terrible since? The muthafucka looked terrible vs Ouma, and Spinks BEFORE he lost to Pavlik.

Taylor was born with all the tools... but due to his low IQ just never could put them together. I think the closest he ever came to putting all his tools together was against Alex Bunema.... that was his best performance.
