I hope not. But of course we all know... if Taylor had faced the Hopkins of 01... he woulda been Executed painfully.

It was a style thing. Hopkins's style played right into Jermain'es style. Hopkins doesn't throw enough punches....and that is why he lost to Jermaine.

I betcha Taylor would have him in knots even now.

    Styles make fights.

Taylor cannot deal with PRESSURE FIGHTERS. And Hopkins wasn't a pressure fighter in either one of their two bouts.

The 1 Time Bernard PRESSED Taylor was in the Latter Rounds of the 1st Fight & Bernard was WHIPPING Taylor's Ass During that Stretch...U've Actually Made REED RE-Think his Take on Roy vs. Taylor...It's NOT like Roy's Gonna PRESSURE Jermain Either...

Taylor Certainly DOESN'T DESERVE to B in the Hall, but it's NO Secret that Boxing has THE LOWEST Hall of Fame Standards of ANY Sport....

Sometimes I think that same thing.

But then again,...I think it is just that boxing includes fighters that shouldn't belong in the BHOF, in alot of boxing fans opinions. Not that they exclude anyone.

In some other sports......some obvious HOF'ers are excluded imo.

Nice win for Froch, now he can get back to the serious business of home decorating.

Taylor would beat Roy now for sure IMO.

WTF? I mean early it looked like Taylor would win running away, but by the final round, that was a very close fight, no doubt about it. I mean really even, Froch was ahead in terms of rounds, minus the knockdown.

Are you mad? Well you obviously are given that you think Abraham would beat Pavlik.

Who says I can't evaluate talent? Because I thought Frock would lose to Taylor? So did 95% of this board. And seriously, I give Frock credit, but did you think he was impressive last night beyond showing a lot of heart and courage, and some stamina to boot?

He would get hammered by Kessler, or yes, your favourite - Pavlik.

I'm saying Frock's power is average at world level for a supermiddle, which is 100% true.

I'd say it's actually you ElTerrible - you German cunt - who can't judge talent or pick a fight. You'll probably be picking Haye over Wlad too

Seeing as we're talking about both Frock and Arabham, I'd pick Frock to beat Arabham up tomorrow. Arabham is one of the worst champs in boxing.

Is it really a 'mystery', as to why Hopkins lost those fights?... Hopkins never puts pressure on anybody, no matter how small they are,..his entire game revolves around a fighter following him.... Jermaine.. didnt,.. he stopped right on the fringe and said.... uh-uh,.. Im not falling for this shit,..your not going to continuously pot me as I walk into your range, we gunna stand toe to toe and fight.

KABOOM!!.. it was like someone disconnected Hopkins control pad,..as a result Hopkins lost atleast the first 8 rounds on memory,.. then Jermaine lapsed into this all familiar 'gassed mode',... and Hopkins began throwing his head down, outstretched lead right pot shot, in desperation,..coupled with smothering, holding and hitting him.... trying to smack him in the back of the head as hard as he could at one stage, thats as 'brave' as our beloved Hops gets, and it's funny for such a 'multi dimensional' fighter.. .. it's amazing how drastically worse he becomes when his opponent isn't obliged to follow him into a constant reversing range that Hops simultaneously creates in his refusal to engage.

If your going to piss on Jermaine Taylor,...Im afraid you cant bring Hopkins name up..

I wouldnt be shocked if Taylor beat Roy at this point. Roy's reflexes are shot... jittery ass Taylor might be able to beat him to the punch, or even hurt him. But Taylor's defense sucks, and Roy still has enough power to put Taylor on queer street. The only thing is... Roy might be too shot to finish.

Prime for prime... Roy vs Taylor would be a utter, and complete mismatch.

RJ-Taylor would be ugly down the stretch for Taylor.

Enough already. Roy Jones has not knocked out an opponent in ten years and all his technical stoppages came to fighters far inferior to Jermain Taylor. It´s not like Taylor falls over by the first punch he gets hit with and Pavlik/Froch go a whole different pace than Roy Jones these years.

Taylor would knock himself out with his shitty stamina. Roys cardio looked much better against Shieka then it has in a long time.

I've always been a huge Roy Jones fan but lets come back to reality.

What was different about Roy in his fight with Sheika?

Different training? Different nutrition? New focus?

    No.

Only thing different was the opponent who was made for him to look good.

You sound like a Tyson fan that would say "If the Tyson that KO'd Cliff Etienne in 1 fought Lewis it would have been different"
