lol at HBO saying Lopez landed 80 power shot in this round. This is just madness and it makes them look very retarded

Slide with him when he tries to turn you Gerry, don't be afraid to hit him under the cup, either!

This is professional boxing, not dancing.

Was Roach right? Was Penalosa in danger?

He looked alright but I agree he was taking a lot of punches, maybe too much.

Fight over. Good on Freddie for stopping it. No need for that fight to continue. Damn Penalosa is tough and Juan Ma has mad skills.

He was getting hit so much and had no chance of winning. No need for that fight to continue.

Penalosa can take a beating like no other. JuanMa is the best 122 pounder in the world.

Just like I said in the other thread, Juanma is going to beat Penalosa like a tribal drum.

JML is an offensive machine. He's gonna be one of the great ones imo.

    Penalosa is tough as hell.

Six years I have been waiting for Willy Blain to get his due. And then the frenchy quits, because he hurt himself hitting his opponent. I know he´s not used to hitting people, but seriously take your beating like a man.

Good fight for Juanma! I'm glad he got in some rounds. Lopez looked good but is it me or did he look slow?

REED Laughed OUTLOUD when the Crowd Broke Into "Tee-Tow, Tee-Tow" Chants During JuanMa's Moment...But @ Least JuanMa is SMART Enough to EMBRACE Tito as Opposed to the Way Cotto Seems to DISTANCE himself from him....

F.Y.I., Tito Looked like he was Damn Near 200 Lbs...

    IMPRESSIVE Win by JuanMa...

Naysayers will Point to Penalosa's AGE, but NOBODY has Ever Dominated him Quite like THIS...As Others have Said, that Little Motherfucker is TOUGH, but Gerry's Gonna B SORE All Over, Manana...Again, GOOD Win by JuanMa...REED's ONLY Criticism is that he Got Caught FLUSH by Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Toooooooooo MANY Right Hooks, but then Again, Penalosa's a CRAFTY Veteran...

It was a good, solid win for Lopez.

I don't think it proves a whole lot, or does much to really establish him at 122.

I agree! Juanma answered 1 question that I had about him, his conditioning. He proved to be in excellent conditioning throwking over 1K punches.

But again I ask my fightbeat family, was it me or did Juanma look slow?

He Had the Look of a PLODDER Last Night, but REED Attributes that to JuanMa Trying to IMPOSE His Size on Penalosa...JuanMa WASN'T Concerned w/Speed, Defense or Countering; he was Dead Set on SHOWING Penalosa who the Bigger, STRONGER Man was...

HBO HAS jumped the shark. That was a horrendously bad show. Two executions and not particularly exciting at that. Juan Ma is a good fighter, but he was 5 times the size of that other midget. It was disgraceful.

I agree the size difference was telling. Lets see this guy fight someone his size. I'm not too impressed with this performance.
