Wlad's huge edge in reach combined to his speed and accuracy would decide the fight for him. Frazier would get close at times but he wouldn't be able to do enough damage before his own face would be busted up or he had been down too many times. Wlad by mid-rounds stoppage
Frazier by KO in the middle rounds.. Wlad Reach/Height difference will help him somewhat...but he is not mobile enough to keep Frazier off him and he doesn't hit nearly as hard as Foreman...so an early brutal ko will be unlikely. Frazier is not like these bitch and fat heavyweights of today...he will be ready for Wladimir..he will know what he has to do...and that is attack..attack..side to side..to the body...body..body...dig those hooks inside...see how Wladimir take 'em...
Frazier by tko. Why because he is tough and Wlad isn't. Frazier is not going to passively sit there and let Wlad jab and hold him. We are talking about a guy who walked into Foreman's wheelhouse on two separate fights. How many times did Frazier get dropped by Foreman 7 in both fights? Seriously, Wlad the Octopussy would have his eggshell mind collapse and he would quit in round 5. WLAD would do nothing against a great fighter in any era. He is talented enough, but not tough enough. He has no X factor, no confidence, no heart, no chin, no toughness. He is as soft as a world champion can ever be. He is a slightly heartier version of Jameela Mcqueen.
Frazier is one of my all time favorite fighters, and if he were just a little bit bigger I think he'd wipe the floor with Klitschko I just think hes too small to win with his confrontational style I hate saying that, because Frazier is a million times greater than any of these shit heavyweights of today... but we are talking about 7 inches and 50 pounds here... and not the Primo Carnera type... but an actual reaonably athletic, reasonably skilled fighter The size difference is just so vast that said, if he could get a couple of those hooks to Wlad's chin he'd knock him dead I just dont think it would happen doesnt change the fact that pound for pound, Wlad couldn't carry his jock
against Vitaly maybe....but Wladimir is weak hearted bitch...a few lefts hook to the body from Frazier...u will see him go into a shell and get ko...
I can understand why someone picks Frazier but I disagree in that the difference in power between Wlad and Foreman was a big one. Foreman was the more heavy-handed guy and actually went for kill, but in one punch power I think Wlad hits harder
And sharper. I wasn't trying to disparage Wlad's offense. I think he is one of the best offensive fighters in the heavyweight division ever. I don't disagree with with Cdogg's analysis, but I think Wlad would be way ahead and maybe would have knocked Joe down 3 or 4 times. I just think Frazier would keep coming and Wlad would freak out ala Lamon Brewster. I might add that the book is closed on both fighters. Wlad cannot take pressure and people continuing to press him. I think Frazier had the heart and the guts to go through hell to pull it out.
Fuck the size advantage.... Wladimira is too mentally soft to have kept off a prime Smokin Joe. Frazier woulda broke his body, and taken his head off with the hook within 8.
Where has Wlad demonstrated this mental softness that you talk about so much? He did have a habit to panick when he was hurt (which he hasn't done in years), but he has never stopped fighting back. That is a myth
Ever see the Lamon Brewster fight? He quit because Lamon kept getting up.He quit like a dog and said he was poisoned. He also folded for the same reason against Ross Purritty a CLUB FIGHTER.He sobbed in his corner. He hasn't done it in years because he fights like a cunt now. He fights the way he does now is because of his mental weakness, lnowing he can't take a punch to the chin. Trust me, if someone is ever able to penetrate his Octo-Ruiz style, he will panic. Wlad didn't learn how to take a punch. He learned to cheat to avoid doing what he is paid to do and that is fight.
Lamon kept getting up from the one knockdown? In that fight Wlad ran out of gas completely and was not able to do anything anymore, that is why Brewster knocked him out. It was not his heart, it was his stamina. Also in the Purritty fight he ran out of gas, but unlike the people who have not seen the fight claim, Wlad did not quit in his corner. Instead his trainer wanted to quit but Wlad insisted keeping on fighting, and his cornermen rescued him during the round. And as you said, Wlad fights like a cunt now, but he is a cunt that is damn hard to penetrate. He knows his weak spot and has learned to protect it. That is called smarts, not mental weakness
His corner did save him, but Wlad did quit. All he had to do was hold on and btw, it's amazing that a punch from Purritty caused Wlad's stamina issues. :::: We must agree to disagree. If you think Wlad fights smart, you must love old Hopkins post Tito, Ruiz, Oquendo and Pernell Whitaker. I hope that smartness is removed from boxing.
Try and find the fight...watch Wlad's reaction when the fight is stopped, and ask yourself again if he really quit. And Bpeople bring up the Brewster fight, ya don't have to say Wlad was poisoned or whatever but there was something definately wrong that night and it had nothing to do with Brewster, and Wlad didn't quit, the ref stopped it between the round as Wlad was going to his corner, there was no questions asked Wlad was just walkin to his corner and the ref made a decision. I love all these myths...hahaha
Cancer, Wlad layed on the mat against Brewster. He fucking quit and shook his head side to side. That one isn't even debatable. Wlad's corner stopped the Purritty fight, but he absolutely did not protest. He just let Fritz hold him and stroke his hair. There is no myth about Wlad. He is a quitter and he has a chin of fine china.
Ummm Ike...Wlad did protest that Puritty fight, he is downright fuckin pissed actually... And I don't know what u r talkin about in the Brewster fight, he fell after the round the ref looked at him and then stopped the fight as he stumbled to his stool, there was no gesture Ike... Don't make things up... :nono: haha
My point was that The Frazier that beat Ali was a vastly superior fighter to Brewster. (I didn't think that I'd have to explain that). He was also better than the Frazier that George destroyed. Not to say that George would have destroyed Frazier regardless, but at his best he was a very hard target to hit-Even for Ali. George didn't get fazed one bit by pressure fighters. You can't say the same for Wlad. George had a great chin. You can't say the same for Wlad. George used his freakish power to bully opponents. Wlad no doubt is strong, but you can't say the same for him. I can imagine Wlad keeping the fight at his distance, peppering Joe with jabs, hooks & RH's, and bouncing him all over the ring. I can also imagine Frazier imposing his will, making the fight in a phone booth & breaking Wlad down.-Taking his heart. That's what makes this fight interesting for me.
I agree with this to a large extent. I just think the size/strength disparity here is insurmountable, and say what you will about Wlad, but his offense may be the best ever at HW, and I dont see frazier surviving an early assault.
The thing is though,... what's been introduced into his arsenal is the illegal and frequent 'tie up' when his opponents uncomfortably advance on him, Steward REFUSES to teach him how to block and counter-punch the way you're supposed to. As to the thread, and Wlad quitting ... fair enough indeed,.. as did our immortal Sugar Ray Robinson against Joey Maxime wasn't it?.. you really cant blame Wlad,....he was influenced, what he did was 'old school'..
Robinson collapsed from heat prostration in a fight he dominated... its not even remotley the same thing I know it is your mission in life to refuse to belief that some fighters were REALLY great, but you are showing your ignorance here
