Manny is and has been the best thing in boxing now for years. He's exciting, explosive, lightning fast and has conditioning that is second to none. He has consistently faced the best competition in boxing compared to anyone else in the sport except maybe Mosley.

And I will be rooting for him to demolish Ricky Hatton.

But I have a feeling that too much is being read in his wins over a completely shot Oscar and the "never was that good anyway" Diaz.

Hatton would have murdered Diaz in five rounds....and maybe even stopped THAT DLH sooner than Manny did.

Hatton is being written completely off here by most boxing experts.....but there is no doubt that Hatton is the strongest fighter that Manny has faced, and he isn't close to being shot.

He will draw Manny into his style of fighting and wear Pac down for a late round TKO or comfortable decision win.

If Pacquioa fought the way he does from an Orthodox stance,.. Id pick Hatton with a fraction of ease,.. but since Hatton is drastically worse against Southpaws,.. this is harder to decipher a scenario,.. I might 'guess' Hatton by TKO 10.

As the Fight Approaches, REED is Making More & MORE of a Case for Hatton N his Mind, but ULTIMATELY, REED DOESN'T Trust Hatton's TENDER SKIN or LACK of Defense...

Despite his Edge N STRENGTH, Hatton's Gonna B Toooooooooooo AVAILABLE for Manny to Touch...REED is Expecting a Fucking WAR, Quite Possibly THE Fight of the Year & Hatton WILL Have MORE than his Fair Share of Moments...But N the End, REED Expects Manny Pac to STOP a Bruised, Bloody Hatton Around the 8th or 9th....

I think Hatton will win. Pac is just getting too much hype lately. I think Hatton will win a SD in a closely contested fight while displaying better boxing skills, defense, and much more fluidity to his style.

Pacman by TKo from punishment or cuts. I won't lie either. I haven't thought at all about this fight. I just hate Hatton. Honestly, anyone cheering for Hatton hates boxing and wants it to end.

Hatton fighting again= good for boxing

Pacman losing to a humping octopus=death to boxing.

Chinus will be summoned and Hatton will not win.

This is a tough one to call because we dont really know anything about Pac-man at 140... hes never fought there. His dismantling of Oscar De La Hoya, while impressive to watch, isn't all that informative because it seems pretty clear that Oscar was an aged, weight-drained wishy-washy combatant who seemed resigned to giving into the greater speed and vigor of Pacquiao pretty early.
To me the key to this matchup is POWER. If Pacquiao can still crack hard enough to hurt a strong, elite-level 140 pounder, I think he wins this fight.
Speed on its own will not be enough, he needs to be able to get Hatton's respect.
My feeling is that Pacquiao can still hit at this weight and that Hatton will be surprised by how hard those shots are.
One other thing, I am not a believer in Hatton having a trainer like Floyd Mayweather Sr. Personally, I think a fighter like him will revert to his instincts and his comfort zone as soon as something new doesn't work. I don't believe he is an intelligent enough fighter to be able to stick to a gameplan that is different from his usual style. I think Hatton will abandon whatever tricks Mayweather has taught him as soon as he tatses some of those straight lefts and right hooks early on and he will go back to the only two styles he is comfortable with:
    A) Mauling his way in going to the body
    B) Hit and hold

Successfully pounding Manny's body is ESSENTIAL to Hatton pulling out a victory here and I think he will have some success there and he will be competetive, even if it is an ugly fashion but I also think he will get hit too much by Manny to win

a close fight, sometimes good, sometimes ugly, ending with Pacquiao victorious by close but unanimous decision

You think Hatton's skin will hold up. I don't. Malignaggi has zero power nad he fucked Hatton's face up. I keep thinking about the Sanchez fight though. Pacman was so discouraged in that fight because Manny is a clean fighter. Hatton is a filthy, fouling cheat.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that Pac wins this fight.

    NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!

Hatton breaks him down and brutalizes him for nine rounds and then stops him in the corner of the ring late in round 9.

BET THE HOUSE!!!!!!!! I'm NEVER WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a difficult pick. Hatton was less than impressive against Floyd and Pac beat the piss out of Oscar.

I've been leaning heavily towards Pacquaio but much like REED said, I've been closer to changing my pick as the fight draws closer.

Fuck it, Hatton by KO 7.

Pac could win but he'll absorb too much and get stopped late I think.

    Pacquiao by KO.

This is not a hard fight to pick.

And I will do backflips if Hatton wins, unlike Ike's poor take on Hatton, he's great for boxing. Everytime he talks, he attracts 25 people who would never watch boxing, just to see him.

Pac will not be able to miss with the straight left, but Hatton is a pretty durable dude. The fight is gonna be ugly, but Pac will land the cleaner shots more consistently winning the fight in 115-113 type fashion.
