Shane has alot to do with this. People are claiming Floyd is ducking him.

Actually it's not. It's not some of the most ridiculous shit he's ever posted, and that is saying a lot.

    Not surprised. Hopefully it's just a tune-up.

However I suspect that he will never fight the more dangerous guys.
It doesn't matter. He doesn't have to fight them as they are already in his hypothetical resume as victories.

I wouldn't care if I never saw the guy in the ring again.

    P.S:
-Yes, I'm REALLY SURE that he cares what a guy behind a keyboard thinks

He doesn't need excuses as he's so much better than them he doesn't even need to prove it.

The excuse he'll probably use is that he was retired when all those guys fought each other. It's probably why his bitchass left.

Floyd IS Ducking Sugar Shane...That's THE Most LOGICAL Fight for Floyd to Take Right Now...A Spinks Fight WON'T B the Least Bit Entertaining, WON'T B on PPV & WON'T Attract a Large LIVE Crowd...

Mosley fight would be a very tough comeback fight...i don't expect Mayweather to take that big a fight for his first fight back....it's not like he is Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Hagler...

Mayweather vs. Berto would be a very good comeback fight...in the process he can pick up a strap...

If that is tooo much for Mayweather..then someone like Quintana/Collazo

Yeah, but instead of actually fighting Shane, maybe Floyd will tell us that bullshit story he keeps spouting off about how Shane ran up to 147 to avoid him years ago.

What a fucking joke Floyd is. I've totally lost faith in his skills, and abillities. I didn't use to think his lack of big name competition on his resume said anything about his undefeated record, but if he doesn't believe in himself, why should I?

You would have been an idiot to pick Spinks over Mosley at any point. Shane's got too good of a chin to worry about anything Spinks throws at him and the one thing we know about Spinks is he fades late.

Anytime a mental midget like Judah can almost KO you in the 12th and blast you out in the rematch, Shane has no problems with that kind of guy.

It's not like Spinks has a granite chin in the first place.

As far as picking Floyd over Mosley...since Floyd's layoff I have NO issues going with Shane now. A prime Shane would have beaten ANY version of Floyd. It's just that now the older Shane makes the fight more interesting.

A prime shane would have had too much speed and chin for Floyd. Floyd couldn't have pot shotted and won a decision. If he stood in with Shane, Shane's physical strength would have been too much for Mayweather. hell, Castillo gave Floyd all he could handle in their first fight and it's safe to say Shane's more physically strong than Castillo.

By picking Marquez (so much smaller) and looking for Spinks (not physically strong and known soft chin) it's obvious Floyd isn't looking for a REAL fight.

Thus, the pussification of Floyd continues.

Is that avatar picture big enough for you dude? Maybe you could make it just a bit bigger so it could take up the entire page instead of just 80% of it.

It won't attract a large crowd in Vegas. King will have no other choice but put in the fight in St. Louis.

Spinks really should have been Middleweight Champion as he beat Jermain Taylor.

Both Floyd and Cory were highly heralded and decorated amateur champions, two classical, yet different styles.

A boxing purist like myself loves this matchup, but I can see where some of you wouldn't as I see a lot of fencing, feinting, countering, basically one guy trying to sucker the other guy in.

It may prove to resemble Leonard-Benitez in terms of shifting, jabbing, and sliding and firing off of angles.

Cory's chin has always been suspect to me, and therin lies the difference in the fight as Floyd can take a good shot.

But stylewise and being a left hander, Spinks may give Floyd fits throughout the first half of the fight, but I can't pick against Mayweather who IMO will probably pull it out late, but Spinks may provide stiffer opposition than a lot of boxing people think as he is just not going to lie down and give his belt away as he will fight hard and come into this fight prepared.

    :atu:

and Mayweather vs. Spinks will suck...it will be another boring easy decision victory for Mayweather...it will be Mayweather vs. Judah....minus the first 3-4 rounds before Judah busted..

Spinks sold out against Zab. Shane-Zab sold barely any tickets before Zab pulled out.

How about Mayorga. They couldn't give tickets away for that fight. Fact is Spinks sells more tickets in St Louis then Shane does anywhere.

Shane can't draw for shit. His opponent sells all the tickets, Margarito sold out Staples, De la sold out staples and MGM. Vargas sold all the tickets for there fights.

Im not saying Spinks is a better fighter then Shane. He sells more tickets.

Accoring to B-scene Mayweather-Marquez is virtually done.

Actually this is true, Spinks dumb delluded fans actually root for the guy and come to see him fight, so in St. Louis, and St. Louis only Spinks would max out their venue.

However Spinks chin is Norrisesque. A stiff breeze will drop him and he's actually a ko possibility against feather fisted Floyd.

Yeah i really do. Spinks sold 22,500 tickets to fight Zab Judah and set an attendance record. Thats about 20,000 tickets more then Shane sold for his fight with Zab.

Don't bring up Margarito-Shane either. Everybody there was there for Margarito. He sold out and set the record for the fight, because 3 Months earlier they couldn't even give tickets away for his fight in L.A with Mayorga.

ONE FIGHT.....in St.Louis....how much were the tickets? $100 dollar...?

Cotto vs. Mosley sold 400K PPV...yes mostly cause of COTTO...but also because he was FIGHTING SHANE MOSLEY...

HOW MANY TIMES before fighting SHANE MOSLEY did MARGARITO sell out the STAPLES????? HOW MANY?

If SPINKS is such a draw how many PPV's have he sold....???? OTHER than that one TIME vs. JUDAH...how many times has he sold out an ARENA anywhere....cause of his name>>?

Where the Arena in St.Louis sold out for his fight vs. Karmazin,Phillips and his last title winning fight....? probably NOT....

    Mayweather vs. Spinks.....NOT on PPV

    Mayweather vs. Mosley ....PPV.....

it's simple....who is the bigger draw from Spinks/Mosley...

Cotto sold all of the tickets for his fight with Shane. Shane would be fighting in the theatre at MSG if Cotto wasn't there selling out just like his fight with Forrest.

Margarito never sold out Staples before that. Still he sold out the event. Everybody who was there was rooting for Tony. Do i really really need to bring up Shanes fight with Mayaorga again for proof about Shanes shitty drawing power.

Shane is a great Robin but he damn sure aint no Batman.
