Good analogy. Michael Jackson was found 'not guilty', but his career was over. As far as I care Margarito can stay in Mexico and fight swine flu infected taxi drivers.

On what grounds is he suing?

I know it's the U.S. but don't you require at least something legal to stand on?

He's Probably Gonna Throw Capetillo Under the Bus & Actually Expect People to B DUMB Enough to Believe that he DIDN'T Know the Trainer was Loading his Handwraps....

But the Thing is, REED has PERSONALLY Asked No Fewer than 20-30 Boxers & ALL of them have Said there's NOfuckingWAY a Guy CAN'T Know if Something's Being Placed in his Handwraps...100% of the Fighters that REED Asked Said the "I Didn't Know" Excuse is BULLSHIT...

If this happens, and the cheating fucking scumbag actually wins, then the sport of boxing is dead. Utterly fucking dead. He should be publically disembowelled in the middle of a ring in public as a punishment for what he did: does he not realise how lucky he was JUST to get one year in the first place?

    Scandelous...

Yep,... it's clearly bullshit,... especially when the crisp scratchy pad is grinding the meat of your knuckle like a carrot down the grater. An example needed to be fucken made of him, as a detterent to anybody else who wanted to, or is currently indulging in ''handwrapping secrets'' as per the term divulged by the cunning Bernard Hopkins.

Are you really this stupid, or is this meant to provoke a reaction?

This is like saying "Fred was convicted of attempted murder, yeah, but he's suing the California Department of Corrections because they can't prove he ever used his gun. And he's gonna get off scott free."

So you realize how idiotic you sound? Margarito was not at any time punished for using illegal plaster inserts in a fight. He was punished by the CSAC for having them in his handwraps before a fight. Having illegal items in your wraps or gloves, even if detected before a fight, can warrant a suspension. Why can't you understand that?

No one has to prove anything more than what was already proven. Margarito can sue all he wants, under their rules they get to decide his punishment for his proven violation of the rules. On what grounds will he get off "scott free"? Because he says he didn't use them? He wasn't suspended for using them, he was suspended for having them in his wraps before the fight.

Will he say "yes I had them in my wraps, but I was going to take them out before the fight"? If you can get past the absurdity of the statement, it still makes no difference since he WASN'T SUSPENDED FOR USING THEM.

His best argument is the one others here have commented on, which is that "Yo no sabia nada. Todavia no se nada." This means he blames it all on his trainer, and pleads for mercy because he was so stupid he never realized he had rocks in his gloves. Despite this being his best argument for reinstatement, it is still totally unbelievable and pathetic.

He is lucky he didn't get banned for life. I think he got off way too light.

It's actually a pretty smart thing for Margarito to be suing for reinstatement and making such a fuss. If he had just gone away quietly it would have made him appear guilty. By making such a stink of everything he might actually fool the general public into believing his lying ass had no idea.

Here's the worst part. By giving such a light punishment it not only fails to discourage future boxers from attempting this kind of thing, it might actually serve to encourage them. What's to stop a fighter from waying the risk of increasing his punching power, where the payoff can be millions of dollars, title shots, and stardom while the only punishment is a 1 year ban? How dumb is that?

Hey dumbfuck, if you look at my posts you will see that I agree that he should be severely punished and he could have killed someone. I am just tryin to tell you people that worse people have gotten off scottfree and found innocent, and most likely he will too, and the fact that the public is fckle and gullible means he will be given a second chance, thats all that I have been sayin, not to say I believe the casual public is correct at all.
So please before calling me idiotic or stupid or anything like that maybe you should read everything instead of the shit you just want to stir up.

U're ASSuming that a 1 Year Ban is the Accepted Form of Punishment ACROSS THE BOARD, for Every State Boxing Commission...U're Also ASSuming that these Commissions AREN'T Smart Enough to INCREASE the Level of Punishment if/when a TREND Starts to Develop...

If all he has is "I didn't do anything wrong. Trying to cheat isn't cheating" then he's wasting his time. Thats the evidence they had before and it rubbed him out. Nothing has changed.

You're assuming I'm assuming that. In actuality I'm not. I realize those issues you mentioned will probably be the case but will everyone else realize it? Also, even if the punishment is worse it doesn't mean it will be a permanent ban like it should be. Maybe they'll just make it 2 years, or more likely, I see them taking the fighter's age into consideration and going from there.

Also I'm sure they would increase the punishment once a trend starts, but banning Margarito for life likely would have prevented that trend from ever starting.

Let's be honest the commisions don't really care about the fighters. They're like any other corporation and only care about money.

Why WOULDN'T Everyone Else Realize that???:dunno:...MORESO, why Wouldn't EVERY Boxing Commission STEP UP their Glove & Handwrap Checking Procedures???...REED knows for a FACT that the Texas Boxing Commission has...

The Commissions DO care about the Fighters to a Large Degree...It's the SANCTIONING BODIES that DON'T Give a Shit Whatsoever...When Fighter SAFETY is @ Risk, the Commissions GENERALLY Act Accordingly...

Sorry "dumbfuck" lets review what you wrote instead of what you say you wrote.

Here you state that Margarito will easily win this lawsuit (which he will lose) because you say he was only caught TRYING to use the illegal inserts, not actually using them. So you are standing behind this statement? It's idiotic as I explained before. This is why I took issue with it, it's stupid.

Here you clearly state he will get off "scott free" because of what the "vast public" thinks. I took issue with the complete stupidity of this statement, since the public has NOTHING to do with this lawsuit, and the punishment was ALREADY handed down and secondly as I said succinctly in my first post.

If you want to revise your posts, go ahead, but they were nothing but worthless prattle. I did you a favor by not quoting your crown jewel, the "Michael Jackson sucked off 50 kids quote."

    Dumbfuck.

The fact that the sentence was so lenient almost implies that they wanted to give him the softest punishment possible so he wouldn't appeal the decision.

Wonder if there's anything we weren't told? :dunno:

Sure, lift the ban on Margarito, for the sum of lets say....30 Million to go into a retirement fund for down and out retired fighters.

He's not going to try the cheating again, they will be inspecting the shit out of his handwraps now, and there are too many former fighters out there living on the streets.
