Thoughts? Hatton looks a bit drawn, but by all accounts has had no weight problems (that we know of).

Pac at 138 means he's all about speed.:slap:

I saw the weight in on video and they both looked about the same to me. Pacquiao being a little more ripped but he always looks like that.

I don't put too much stock on how they look on the weight in. But in any case neither guy looks much bigger than the other.

I know many Many Stewart has said this, but Pacman looks just as ripped at 140 as he did at 147 as he did at 122. He is freak.

Ummm... you can't 'go for history' in a weight division this HIGH.. if you are near geometrically identical to the jr welterweight champion surely???...

Hatton must bust and grow like the Hulk on fight night,.. his bones and muscles must expand into something more resembling a junior welterweight instead of a natural flyweight, it's amazing how boxing's weight divisions work.

The last time I saw my brother's wife, she went OFF on me about being a loud drunk and too rabid about sports at the Broncops-Chargers game(I started about five fights that night) four months ago. I haven't seen her since, and she'll be at my mom's house for the Hatton-Pac PPV Saturday night. Something tells me that her opinion of me is NOT going to change. :atu:

    This is my logic.

I'm a Broncos fan. I went to a game in Denver last season. We played the Chiefs. There were a lot of Chief fans there. I was cool with them and never talked shit to them. After we beat them, I didn't talk shit when I saw them walking out.

But In San Diego, there were a lot of shit talkers before and after the game and I was going at it with them and my sister-in-law said I was out of control and they were going to leave me there. MY girlfriend at the time said I was out of control and looked liked a crazed madman walking thru the tunnel talking shit to people and flipping people off.

    I don't know.

Well, I'm big sports fan - football, Ice Hockey, Boxing, Tennis, Golf, Rugby you name it.

I do not think women understand the passion or the banter between rival fans. Part of the fun attending games is winding up the opposition. This is all in the spirit of the game really.

Massive game on today in Dublin 80,000 at Croke Park.
Leinster V Munster semi finals of the Heiniken Cup (thats the champions league of rugby):mj:

Hatton looks a bit more drained than usual, but i'm with LK in that you can't put too much stock into what people look like at weigh-ins.

i used to be dubious too, but i remember the pics of jones before the first tarver fight. people picked up on jones looking notably wan and drawn, and after the first few rounds everyone realised that this was not the same roy jones anymore. the way fighters look at the weigh-in can indeed be an indicator of their physical condition for the fight.

Hey, it's Tam Tam the fightbeat poster critic. Love your repeated ability to make unprovoked attacks against posters who haven't said or done one thing to you. You're like everyones personal troll, they never know when you're going to jump in with one of your brilliant critiques of what they have to say. You really are a jem to this board. Where would we be without your tough guy, smarty pants antics? Keep up the good work, and really, everyone on here is just as impressed with you as you are with yourself.

I guess it is all in vain,... hoping to change peoples perceptions on the measure of weight divisions, and lack of rules enforcement. Yes the lack of rule enforcement, I feel like Im attempting to unbuckle the gun cabinet on the moderating team, only to be denied,, one day I will inevitably withdraw in frustration, just be patient.

I don't care what anyone says...I don't even care what the tape measure says - Ricky looks allot bigger and stronger to me. It's difficult to describe how....like his muscle bellies are longer or the small muscles between the major muscles are bigger or something but he just looks way sturdier and better put together at the weight.

Hatton always looks like a junky at weigh ins. I'm hoping we don't need to read too much into it.

Pac is going to find out the definition of "hammer time" tonight. :fightme:

Hatton is "too legit to quit."

Pac and Freddy "The Dreamer" Roach 'can't touch this!'

    :hammert: :hammert: :hammert:

True but just as often it can be misleading. Erik Morales looked like a terminal cancer patient at numerous weigh-ins and was able to go to war for the full 12.

Yes I can see how Hatton looks a little larger and taller in these pictures,.. but is this the size difference...between a career long 140lber, and someone who began thier career 8 weight divisions south?..

Yeah if a fighter looks way worse than normal then it means something. But Ricky has always looked like that at weigh ins, so Im not too concerned.

Of course not. Pac has certainly filled out big time and he probably never had any business at flyweight anyway.

But Pac is probably a natural super featherweight at this stage in his life - Ricky is much broader and sturdier at the height and weight, despite Pac looking more muscular.

Hatton was up bright and early to see his beloved Manchester City beat Blackburn Rovers 3-1 this morning.

Tomorrow, Everton FC will take care of Sunderland Athletic.

WTF, Sunderland are called Sunderland 'athletic'? You know, 18 odd years of following football and I don't think I even knew that! Although now that I think about it they are SAFC, so your story checks out.
